not sure what the cold votes are about it is free with no strings attached, I've signed the whole family up and we're all going swimming for free now, presumably the cold voters know somewhere where they pay you to come swimming :)

I have had the same with a free drink, no strings attached offer that I posted and can't understand why users of the site would vote cold - I would think it less demoralising for people who post to ignore it if it isn't one you would use - but as a relative newbie maybe I haven't got the hang of things yet!

Thanks for the post. I registered. How to register a child ? In the terms it is mentioned that no trial is available for under 18s.

Hmm kept getting hounded to join after when i gave them my number. Said no part way into the trial, they turned the cold shoulder on and made me wait at queues when coming in

Be careful - their data security isn't very good.

They either sold my email address or were hacked.

Ended up with spammers, despite it being a distinct address unique to them used nowhere else - and the only one on that domain at the time getting spammed.

A bit scary that .....

Hmmmmmmmmmm!. :-(

Their not the first and won't be the last.

The sad thing is they wouldn't admit or do anything about it - trying to claim it was "my fault" and so on.
#12
If you've had a trial before they probably won't honour this. David Lloyd is awful for customer service from my personal experience..

Good offer!

But as someone that used to be a full paying member at DL (full membership, gym and racquet), which was a sizeable yearly investment for me, I utterly resented the level of free triallers that would be ghosting in and out of the club. I left in the end and no doubt DL have lost a lot of good members this way.

Remember people are paying for a leisure experience with certain type of membership base. Knuckle heads that want to pump iron on the cheap have enough great options. Sorry sounds a bit mean but it's the truth.

I understand that DL need to generate more membership and this is one way. But it's absolutely not the right way. A day trial after having been given a tour is much more suitable. 14 days is just open to abuse by freeloaders.

Just got a call back. Apparently you need a 'voucher' from holland and barret themselves when turning upto David Lloyd, as opposed to just signing up for one.

odd, my whole family of four signed up without any vouchers or even mention of Holland and Barrett, different clubs may approach it differently....

My problem is I did their 14 days for £14 I think it was last Nov/Dec.... so I presume they wouldn't let me do this offer

Slight downer. It's not all clubs. My nearest are Horton and Rayne Park, yet neither are listed.

Sheesh. So, someone just post a link with the H&B sign up form on it. Or, just offer to forward the relevant email directly via a polite PM mechanism?
