The Assembly pub in Preston are giving a full refund on their 3lb burgers if you are able to eat the whole thing lol.

Maybe useful for anyone who thinks they can eat the whole thing and lives near Preston!

Shame,a mate of mine could definitely do it.He used to attend UCLAN a few years back, lives in Czech Republic now.....a bit too far to travel, methinks.

Come on,there must be some man mountains out there to give this a go:giggle:
#4
Does it come with a side of fries? :giggle:
#5
easy lol i can eat like a 30lb steak well i think i could well maybe not but a americain man could
#6
Ive ate 20lb of steak followed by a fish bowl full of ice cream so that shouldn't be to hard. I might go and try it.
#7
How much is it on the menu to start?
#8
a tenner

Surely a 3lb burger is not that hard?

I mean I can eat two half pounders with buns and salad no problem, and believe me I am no eater!!!!

So that is a full 1lb plus extras. Many a bigger man should be able to polish off a few of these never mind one.

Great post by the way, but I just think it it easily done. Well done to the pub for the publicity stunt. May cost them a couple of quid on the night but at least they will get repeat customers from the outcome.

maybe the burger simply tastes like crap lol
#11
the bread in the picture looks quite tough, i think that could make eating the burger difficult but apart from that i could eat that and i actually think i may take a trip there.
#12
not a big burger fan but i reckon i cud eat it aswell:thumbsup:

I used to be hated by Chinese buffet people -- but those days are gone now :) I can hardly eat 3 plates full of meat. 3lb should be easy.. unless the burger is cooked RARE!

And here was me wondering how to kill 20 minutes in Preston today while I wait for a train.

Or maybe not. I fear it would make a surprise re-appearance before Warrington.
suspended#15
the bread looks about 1pound lol, about 4pounds for the burger + bread + toppings!
#16
That is SOOOO big!!! Same as six 1/2 pounders which are big enough (probably could eat two at a push) or twelve 1/4 pounders...
#17
Voted hot! reckon i could do this. Wonder if any1 can provide a pic of the beast!?
#18
Me and a few members of my family think we can manage this – planning a day trip as we speak 

This is what the monster burger looks like

You're confusing lbs and ozs here.

That's the equivilent of over 100 quarter pounders.
#22
I reckon i could eat that, as long as it's covered in chillia sauce........ do you reckon they'd be willing to deliver my free burger all the way to london? :giggle:

I hope some local pubs take note of this publicity stunt and does something similar but i wish whoever on this forum attempts the task the best of luck :)
#23
Its says conditions apply, Is one of them that you have to eat it in less than a minute !!!!
#24

Would be good for twins, hide one in the bathroom and swop half way through :giggle:

 It is the size of that big greasy ugly betty-ugly burger counts towards a massive heart diseases and heart attacks par execellence!

That picture ensures that I won't eat any burgers for a long long time. Cheers. Vegetarianism is fast becoming immortalised elite, too.

Greatest advertisement against eating burgers or related fast food diet and lifestyle! Big Time!:-( .

Well Done Preston North End peeps!...
