The service launches with an impressive library of more than 600 games, from PC classics to the latest releases.

As a special launch promotion, the first 10,000 users to register will receive their choice of a family friendly or 18+ gaming bundle worth up to £45. The service also launches with half price deals on select titles, as well as half price offers on all simulators.

The download shop can be accessed through PCWorldDownloads.co.uk, CurrysDownloads.co.uk and DixonsDownloads.co.uk.

EDIT: In description I copied says £45, but on the dixons website it says £50!

EDIT 2: From reading the below posts - people with age verification checks need to use their address off 192.com. Additionally those with recaptcha problems are recommended to use IE8. Thanks guys!

Keeps coming up that they could not verify that I'm 18. DoB is correct... I'm 21 in 3 days -_-
#8

#9

Wicked, just got BOTH packs, I signed up under me gf's name (wouldnt verify me!) with a diff.email, cleared cookies, it's clearly not done via one-per-IP-address! lol

It seems they are checking electoral roll data for age verification. I have just moved to where I am so not yet listed. Maybe I can download these in the future?

This one gets a 'meh' from me.

P.S. Changed the details to my mums name and address details and it went through! The downloads are in an area called 'my products' so it looks like it can be downloaded at any time in the future. My connection is not great at the moment.

Working fine here. Thanks!
#15
for those failing the age check:
it does a check against 192.com, who bought the electoral register in 2002, so put the address you were living in and registered to then. You can go direct to 192.com and type in your name to check.

More worrying is that your details are so easy to find ...

Are you using Internet Explorer - same happened with me - try another browser - works fine.

I'm in my 40's and it can't verify my age either - after changing to match what 192.com has as my address online. What a borked system!

I tried many times using IE9 on Windows 7.
Had to move to IE8 on XP for it to work.

Just tried about 10 times RAGING at recapture:( then realised the above post.
#24
Great find, heated. Didn't verify me the first time by re-regged and it worked fine.
Chose pack 1 because I have half the games on pack 2 on about 6 different consoles...
#25
To download the pack you selected you must be 18 or older. Unfortunately it has not been possible to verify your age with our identity verification partner (currently 192.com). If you are 18 or older, please make sure that your user information on the "My account" page is correct.

Alternatively you can select the other pack (without an age rating) and download those games instead.

I tried going to 192.com, but im not listed, and you have to buy credits to list yourself manually ? (I think) :(
#26
cheers! got pack 2

Good find, but off subject... how does 192.com acquire my details, and under the data protection act, can I have them removed? It's absolutely abysmal my information can be bought.

Very Good heat added

Katching! Thanks!

Gave up trying to get pack 1, so got pack 2.

Upon downloading I just noticed something....
The games are just a normal installer and don't require a key ? so they can most probably be shared anyway...

Here's Sega megadrive classics, someone download it and let us know if the games can be shared: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=60Y32AQ0

From advertising agencies and the like when you agree to give your details to companies and "selected 3rd parties". They basically sell your details to companies for like 10p/person. And I don't think so, there has been a hoo hah over this in the past, have a google.

Thanks, got pack 2

Sweet. Couldn't access the first pack either. Then again, I probably would've only enjoyed Alpha Protocol.
