According to the leaflet I got in my lovefilm latest envelope; get 50 free MP3's & 1 Free audiobook when you sign up. The sign up period is 14 days, after which you will be charged so remember to cancel before then but you get to keep your downloads for free

This is available for first time users only - "Your risk free trial will start today. If you don't love eMusic, simply cancel during your free trial and your credit card will not be charged. Either way, keep the free downloads as our gift to you for trying us out. "

After the 14 day free trial prices will become as follows:

eMusic Basic
50 FREE downloads with your 14-day trial

24 downloads for £9.99 per month thereafter (£0.42 per song)

eMusic Plus
50 FREE downloads with your 14-day trial

35 downloads for £13.99 per month thereafter (£0.40 per song)

eMusic Premium
50 FREE downloads with your 14-day trial

50 downloads for £17.99 per month thereafter (£0.36 per song)

eMusic Connoisseur
50 FREE downloads with your 14-day trial

75 downloads for £24.99 per month thereafter (£0.33 per song)

From T's & C's:
If, when registering, you signed up for a subscription with a "Trial Period," you will be allowed a period during which you can try out the Service. Only one Trial Period subscription is permitted per person. The Trial Period will expire upon the last day of the number of days indicated in the Trial Period offer concerned, or (ii) if earlier, the day on which you download more than the number of tracks indicated in such offer. (Please refer to the confirmation provided on the site or via email for the specific terms of your Trial Period). If you terminate the Service prior to the expiration of the Trial Period, you will not have any further obligation with respect to the version of the Service to which you have committed and any remaining Trial Period downloads will expire. If you do not terminate and do nothing, you will be automatically subscribed to eMusic and billed based on the payment plan selected when you registered (or as you may have updated through the "My Account" section of the Service).

This keeps coming up, its a good deal if you remember to cancel before they take any money. They dont have much choice of music but if you can find something to your taste then its a good deal

I did this trial recently, it's a horrible website, really difficult to navigate and most of the songs are either unavailable or karaoke versions, avoid like the plague.

If you want free music, try dirpy.com. You just past a link from youtube into it and download songs for free.

As someone who has a emusic subscription the range of music is brilliant. But they only sell music that is on independent labels not the big four.
