In case someone doesn't know:

Noddle is a brandname of Callcredit. Not all credit report agencies hold the same information (because some lenders report only to 1 or 2 of them), so if you need to get new credit it's good to check all 3. Usually, there is a cashback available for 1 month free trial, so you can sign up via tcb/quidco, get your free report, cancel the subscription immediately after this and get the cashback too!

And if anything, just get the £2 staturory report, no need for their expensive subscriptions.
#4
can you cancel easily?
#5
Yes you can subscribe and cancel the subscription within 30 days from Equifax and Experian. But that is the only one time you will be checking your report for free. What if you want to check the credit report after that. I already had used the free 30 days report from this agency and they wont allow me to check again even when I did check the free report 2 years back. Not complaining but just saying as I know they are in the business to make money.
I agree we need to check the report with all agency, but for casual user who can get the answer to their question from noddle do not need to spend the 2 quid either as the credit report is free for Life..

Thanks for your message.

Your Noddle account is free for life ... you’ll never be charged, even if you don’t log in after 3 months. This just means we reserve the right to close your account after 3 months if you haven't been using it but we will never, ever charge you.

Thanks and have a good day!

Thanks, have some heat mate! I am also with Experian ( which I subscribe to ) I can't be bothered with Equifax as the site is always giving errors of some sort.
#11
Heat from me too. A very useful service and you can't beat that price. Brill. Thanks for sharing.

3/5. Suppose it's ok for being an ex student, who's only been in full time work since September.

Still though, I can't get loans at all.

You need some kind of card that you might be using for online transaction through which website can authorize your identity as this is the only way they can identify your identity.
#20
Thank always wanted to see mine.
#21
They seemed unable to check my credit report due to an inability to verify my identity. Having moved house every year for the last 10 seems to have caused some inconsistencies in my background, what with having various different things registered in various different places. Good if it works for you though.
#22
apparently i don't exit lol
#23
Far from a complete credit report for me, waste of time.

Due to being serving UK Military for the past 25 + years, obliged to change address every 3 to 4 years (with many HM Forces bases not being recognised by the postcode search systems) I am unable to get a mobile 'phone on contract due to "poor credit rating" !! This really annoys me as I know of many individuals who have been claiming benefits for years who can get a contract mobile ... but after serving my country in various conflict areas ... I am unable to do so ... and am stuck with a PAYG 'phone !!

Noddle also does not work for me ... cannot verify my address ... because I live on a Military base ....!! Time to emigrate !

A word of warning – I’ve heard reports of people signing up to this service to check their reports, and suddenly finding that previously quiet creditors had suddenly woken up from their slumber and started chasing them again.

Just ask yourself for a second how exactly they can afford to offer this service free of charge? It seems to me that offering an alerting service to creditors when one of their debtors verifies their contact details by signing up for a ‘free’ credit check could be a nice little sideline for a credit reference agency.

If you have active credit or debit card, which you any way require to subscribe to this service, creditors know any way where you are. I wont buy too much in to what you have just mentioned. It would be more convincing if someone really had come across that issue, which also can be question that it can be simply coincident.

Or you could pay off your debts?

They offer the service free by offering you services, deals, Credit card offers etc that if you use/take out they earn a commission in the process. Much like how this site and Topcashback operate for free.

Noddle offers you access to your credit report free for life – not just for 30 days. It’s genuinely free and always will be!

And, we’ll help you put it to good use to by finding the best credit card and loan products for you based on your credit rating, as well as helping you to make more of your money with access to money saving offers and vouchers.

I've been using it for a few months and saw some really interesting stuff about myself. Like, I sent some money (£20) to a friend abroad and I was checked for money laundering? lol :o)

Or you could pay off your debts?

Now, if somebody is making the effort to check their credit report, do you think there may be a possibility that they are, in fact, trying to do exactly that? Unfortunately, for many people, it’s not quite as simple as just reaching into their back pocket and producing a handful of cash to shut up their creditors. In fact, that’s rarely a situation that is likely to change as a result of receiving 5-10 phone calls a day demanding money from a creditor who’s just been notified that you’ve checked your report.

I have no doubt that these companies also make money by trying to sell additional services on top of the free access. However, I have heard of more than one case where creditors have made contact after a long period of silence, very shortly after somebody has accessed their credit report on this site. To me, that’s a little coincidental, and worth being aware of if you’re thinking of signing up.

I signed up for this about 4 months ago. They only have info on about 2/3 of my credit accounts (past and present) but what they did have seemed accurate enough.

However - and this may simply be a coincidence - ever since then I have had a constant stream of pre-approved "credit builder" type high APR credit card leaflets through my door. Three each week, at least.

Before I go into the kitchen and reach for the tin foil hat so I can join you in paranoia corner, care to quote some sources backing up your claims?

Not happy can not verify my identity on noddle
#36
I got my password wrong about 6 months ago and it locked me out telling me I had to email them instead of just sending a reactivation link to change pass to my email address on file.
Too much effort, I haven't been back since and shall make do with the free Equifax service I get with a Capital One Classic card I never use
#37
have they changed their t&c? use to be:

5.1 The Services will be provided free of charge for so long as you remain an Active User.

2.1 "Active User" means someone who has logged into the website at least once in the previous 3 (three) months.

3. Description and Price of the Services

3.1 The Services are as described on the Website at the time you sign up to the Services. We reserve the right to change the description, form and content of the Services or discontinue the whole or part of any of the Services at any time in our absolute discretion.

3.2 We reserve the right to update, suspend, vary or withdraw the Website in whole or in part at any time in our absolute discretion. For the avoidance of doubt any statement that the Website is 'free for life' only extends for so long as we operate the Website.

utterly useless. This site couldn't give me any info on my credit report. Using both a credit card and a debit card for them to be able to do it

I don't understand why they need the 3 digit security code on your card if there is no charge ?
Banks are always telling you not to give this information out to anyone - unless you are paying for something.
Should they not be able to trace you through your card details and name/address ?

To make sure you still in the possession of the card. Say you do not have the card with you and only remember the card number of your b/f or g/f or any other family member. They wanted to make sure you have the card with you. I can see the argument coming that if person can remember the card number, he/she can remember the security code as well but that is on the back of the card and not that easily you can read when someone is holding the card upright.
