Or if your like me, you don't actually need to purchase the TI 2010. Simply register your product with Acronis, at acronis.com, then when your license appears under "My Registered Products" it will have two available downloads.

The full version at 71MB

The bootable media version at 35Mb.

Given that I normally do all my backups outside of windows, the bootable media (an ISO image) is perfect for me :)

Not for me. Just registered my license and only been given the option of downloading the Plus Pack

Love Acronis True Image - Very easy to use backup software. Have my backups stored on a network drive so restore is a cinch.

This ADD ON is going to make my backup/restore process so much easier with only one copy needed for all my different machines. :)

Not much point downloaing any Acronis product ...

They never provide upgrades - as long as your version works - fine - but as soon as some hardware changes like new storage controllers you are on your own ! Acronis just want you to buy the newer version of their software.

It's $29.95 a year.

It's more worthwhile paying a one off fee for an external hard drive. Should cost around £30 for 250gb

hot, thanks.

Works for me, great thanks!

This is an easy to use product, although I have also recently upgraded to Windows 7 from an offer on this site. In many ways the native back-up has improved dramatically, so kinda debating if this product has any use any more.

By the way, found this partition software from Easeus and it is brilliant, does more than what vista and XP could do natively, although not had the need to see what the windows 7 version can do, so can't fully compare

And where do you plan to keep this external hard drive?
What do you do if this external hard drive fail?

There's a value in managed off-site backup. Not necessarily worthwhile for everybody but they fill a different market need than a single on-site external hard drive.
