Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden are offering a week of free entry to these world class attractions.
From the 17th 23rd May, free entry will apply to public service workers, their partners and up to two children. They can visit as many times as they like during that week, and at any time during normal opening hours.
The medieval castle which is celebrating 700 years as the home of the Percys, Earls and Dukes of Northumberland has an intriguing past, intertwined with tales of knights and heroes. In Knights Quest, children learn the sword tricks of a dragon-slaying knight.
It is a wonderful time of year to visit The Garden. Tulips and blossom are blooming, the infamous plants in the Poison Garden are beginning to sprout once again and the stunning water features sparkle in the May sunshine.

One of the following types of staff ID is required: staff badge, payslip, confirmation from their employer on letterhead. This is necessary to confirm that you are employed in a public service in the North East.
The Garden opening times: 10am - 6pm (last admissions 5.15pm).
Castle opening times:
· Grounds open daily 10am - 6pm (last admissions 4.15pm)
· State Rooms 10am - 5pm (last admissions 4.30pm)
· Knights Quest 10am - 5 pm (last admissions 4.45pm)
