Yup, just checked their FAQ.
If you have participated in a free Amazon Prime trial or cancelled your Amazon Prime membership, you are not eligible for the three-month free Amazon Prime trial that is part of Amazon Family. However, you can still join Amazon Family and Amazon Prime and receive the following benefits:
GBP 10.00 off your first order over GBP 50.00 in our Baby Store
At least GBP 50.00 worth of exclusive offers every month
A further GBP 25.00 off your first order when you spend GBP 50.00 in our Baby Store as a new Amazon Prime member.
Bummer!

...ive never had a prime free trial (so not sure for people who have already had the 1 month one)

So take note everyone - if you've recently cancelled a Prime membership or had one of their free 30-day trials you will be charged £49.
This is still a hot deal for those that qualify, though!

good thinking:)
Thanks for that. I enjoyed a 1 month trial of Amazon Prime last Christmas and I like the idea, but £49 for a year is too much to pay. I would consider at half that price though.
