Click on the go to deal button and the System Requirements are near the bottom of the steam product page that loads. You will need more than integrated graphics despite having a quad-core

One of those ATI 4770's should see your desktop right for this, and they're quite cheap as well (£90 or less).

nice, hot!!

Time to try and find 5gb of free space on my laptop. 80gb drives are just too small, but I'm concerned about trying to clone and install a larger one.

It's always been free in the past because it's funded by the US military as a recruiting tool.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Army

"America's Army (also known as AA or Army Game Project) is a video game developed by the United States Army and released as a global public relations initiative to help with recruitment"

Yeah,got it ,thanks.

#18
I could do with a new pc seeing those specs :/

Being slow I know, but presumably this is free, or wise why is it in the freebies section. [Confused by earlier talk about money]...

If its free, good grief this is a good deal.

US military might spread chaos and injustice around the world, but by god they make a good shoot em up.
haha

I passed every training core available on AA 1,even the advanced sniper.Alas,I was rubbish at the gameplay, kept shooting my team mates lol.Highly recommended for the training alone. The parachute training is particularly good.Heat added.

Ace game I got quite good at the first two and loved the levels especially the bridge crossing one! Been away a while hopefully ill have it ready for kick off tonight to road test the new levels!
#24
Less than 30mins to go before everyone can start training!

7pm was the time? Doesn't show a ticker on the Steam store front anymore either, but not playable yet. AA's website seems to be down for maintaince. Maybe I was a bit eager thinking I could play this straight off the bat!

This game will unlock in approximately 1 hour << Back to that, so 8pm maybe! When I could get through to the forums on AA3, they all seemed to agree 8pm. So Fingers crossed.

Now unlocked, but massive update to download. Cant see many users being on it before 10.

Yeah which is a shame, I thought the pre-load would of made this massively quicker. I'm at 56 pct, but it seems to pause every now and again, then carry on downloading at about 150KB/s before snapping back to "Download starting"

Anybody managed to Log into AA3(non Steam):?: :-(

I can login with no problems, it's just trying to get it to contact their servers after I complete the first step of training that's the problem. No server contact = progress not saved = have to keep doing it over and over :-(

It's gone a bit pigs ear, eh! I (think) I've made two accounts, one I did before release, manage to change the random letters standard password, one after with random letters which I can't change on the site because it won't let anyone in, can't get in on the game with neither.

Apparently the Auth servers are overloaded so even if you are lucky enough to get in, the training as pointed out by Cuddy! Won't stand for anything, even if it lets you 'pass'.

I've been keeping an eye on AA's forum. All that's been said is that the 'load' should balance itself out and they're doing everything they can, they never expected this many downloads, which surprises me, since with the amount of pre-loads, and the way it's been distributed I thought they would of have an idea how it was going to go.

Anyway update! I've mixing matching passwords with accounts by accident >< Created one through the interface and it works. Been playing Bridge for a bit. Training is a bit iffy still! but playable online.

A large patch was released today for AA3. Fire up your steam client and get updating for some, hopefully, bug free gaming :)
