Winston Churchill was a incredible man with an extremely full life.

He had a varied career in which he spent much time being quite unpopular in the public eye.

Despite the great challenges Churchill faced during his life, and at times his incredible un-popularity, he managed to persevere and continue on with unwavering tenacity towards his goals.

Known now as a war veteran, powerful politician, and one of the best speech-makers of all time - Winston Churchill leaves a huge legacy behind.

You would think that a man of such accomplishments would have been a product of natural talent. But it is quite the contrary. As this book will explain to you, Churchill failed time and time again throughout his life.

The man is the ultimate example of why perseverance and resilience is key, and through his life you can learn a multitude of lessons on how to enhance your own experience and achieve more.

This book will not only detail you the incredible journey of Winston Churchill's life, but it will also share with you the most valuable lessons that you can learn from this incredible man and his accomplishments.

I'd keep quiet about that one :D

Thanks Boz, 37 pages doesn't seem much of a book - the paperback price is probably for an Amazon Print on Demand copy, so not reflective of the pricing on a traditional print run.

One of my pet hates on Amazon is seeing rubbishy 'books' by people who churn out trash-du-jour, e.g. the likes of Nigel Cawthorne - I wish Amazon had a facility to never show me anything to do with his churnalistic output!

Don't tell me... another load of drivel cobbled together by some obsequious writer paid a handsome retainer to sit at a keyboard and indolently leaf through one hundred prior biographies of Churchill simply to churn out the same old accolades and myths about Churchill being a brilliant man when in fact he was just an imperialist racist and alcohol driven psychopathic murderer; a mirror to many other leaders during the first half of the 20th century.

Piecing together Churchill's real persona makes for an arduous task. Digging deep below the gnarled bole of his oakish character to archaeologically sift through those many and most odious bones of a long since earthed over skeleton, reveals a corporeal monster quite unlike the one we were, and still are, fraudulently sold by politically partial and multifariously motivated biographers, our history teachers, the media and cinematic revisionists hell-bent on repackaging the same old...same old nationalist take.

Churchill's one truly beneficial, though ironically serendipitous achievement, was reigniting the touchpaper which caused the implosive destruction of Britain's ill-gotten Empire. WWII, for many, was regarded as a needlessly indulgent display of sabre rattling. The result providing a Pyrrhic victory.

So, a war was won. Germany, Nazism, British imperialism, Poland, 50+ million people's, The British Economy, Britain's nuclear know-how, the recently achieved right for every British subject (whatever the gender, colour and means) to vote within a free democracy lay utterly vanquished.

Search and ye will find.

Churchill was always a bit of a warmonger, even when young into politics

When the General Strike happened 1926 ISTR, the newspaper employees refused to work & Churchill commandeered all the newsprint (ie the lead newsprint) to publish a Govt newspaper, apparently his Prime Minister boss told him to do it to tie him up & stop him wreaking havoc wherever he went

'myths about Churchill being a brilliant man when in fact he was just an imperialist racist and alcohol driven psychopathic murderer' - he could be all those things and still be a brilliant man. As for 'psychopathic murderer', clearly that's not the case. He cried after attacking the French fleet at Mers-el-Kebir, he reigned in Harris from destroying German cities and towns with no military or infrastructure targets, he refused to send the full force of the British army into Ireland to crush the rebels when he was briefed that it would result in at least 8,000 irish deaths. Of course these were all white people, he cared far less for everyone else.

Oh, and if Churchill had not fought Hitler there would be no jews, no slavs, no disabled and no non-white people in the whole continent, including the UK. Churchill might have been monstrous at times, but Hitler WAS a monster.

You will always get at least one pseudo-intellectual with their hatred for Churchill, sitting in the comfort of their smug 21st century armchair, preaching their pacifist views on how we should have sat back and done nothing. Despite this hell bent tyrannical fascist war machine destroying Western Europe - while its tyrannical communist confederate provided it with every resource available* - the British Commonwealth, with its wealth and democracy, would have somehow stayed safe and untouched if we had not gone to war.

The guy is living in cloud cuckoo land, devoid of any realistic historical or military persepective.

*People forget how they carved up Poland between themselves and Stalin's invasion of Finland. The huge resources it transported to Germany for its war effort, before the two dictators fell out.

I don't and never did hate Churchill. I have no experiences of hating any person, dead or alive. It is also the case that I'm a pacifist...though not due to any religious beliefs.

You write of people forgetting. But how can one forget historical events which are rarely taught them?

Appeasement is completely different to out and out collaboration. I've heard that superficial comparison before, and it's just that, facile. We gained no land or territory from it, we just, naively as it were, along with our allies, tried to stop a European war from breaking out by giving Germany the German speaking Sudetenland along the Czech border.

My late grandfather was Czech, and he did initially feel aggrieved with what happened, but he fled when Germany marched into the rest of the country. Being Jewish he had to get out and he first went to France and then Britain where he joined up. He did plan to go back to Czechoslovakia after the war but couldn't, or at least wouldn't, after the Soviets took it and it merely changed from one dictatorship to another. He therefore stayed and became a loyal British citizen. He held no grudge towards the country that became his.
