Written and Directed by British filmmaker Sean Ellis (Metro Manilla), starring Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Inception), Jamie Dornan (The Fall, 50 Shades Of Grey) and Toby Jones (Dad’s Army, The Secret Agent), ANTHROPOID is based on the extraordinary true story of the World War II operation to assassinate Nazi commanding officer Reinhard Heydrich. Heydrich was the Reich’s third in command after Hitler and Himmler; he was the main architect behind the Final Solution and the leader of Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia. Nicknamed “The Butcher of Prague,” his reign of terror and brutality prompted Czech authorities in London to hatch a top-secret mission, codenamed “Operation Anthropoid,” which would change history forever

The same haunting true story was depicted in the excellent Operation Daybreak. Haven't watched that since the late 80's. Must look for it although not sure I could stomach it now as it's heart-rending.

can anyone help - did not get tickets as we wants to go (20+ of us) to see it as we are originally from Czech/o/Slovakia. But I can not find any cinema in Manchester to screen it?!? :( I emailed to all of them got one reply so far - Odeon - saying they haven't got anything confirmed and they will not be screening it. really?!? :-( Closest cinema is showing Sheffield one - a bit to far for us :-( We do not want to watch it on Kodi, we want to go and see it on big screen! :-/ thanks

You could make enquiries of, and even a request to, HOME.

There's also Three Minute Theatre but it's not in the same league as HOME.

Good luck, it is a great film!
