Bletchley Park is STILL one of Britains best kept secrets - we drove through Bletchley a couple of weeks ago after a spur of the moment drive out and were looking for it but there were no brown tourist signs anywhere.

Complete shambles!

What's to stop me using a postcode from MK? when I've now moved out of MK postal area now 4yrs or something. When I last checked I'm still on the electrol role at my old house.

I failed my driving test in Bletchley 4 times, past on my 5th. You saying that makes me feel better

There was one road where the examiner gets you to go down this street but he doesn't say turn left, but if you go straight ahead it's a no entry. I should have just stopped and waited for instruction, but my instructor had told me they'll try catch you out here.

What a fantastic place Bletchley is. The shopping there is amazing....They have pound shops, bargain warehouses, charity shops and Wilkinsons. Down the road there is a Lidl and in the middle of the town there is an amusement arcade....... You could combine a day out at Bletchley Park with a nice bit of shopping. And for the posh ones amongst you, they have a Co-op departmental store.

Me and the other half found it easy enough on monday. Never been before.

Superb place to visit though if you are at all interested in codebreaking or WW2.

Surprising just how secret it was kept really.

I've been there once and it is a fascinating day out.

Quite surprised me at just how run down and grotty it was and run by a load of pensioners voluntarily. A shame for something so important.

Oh by the way the co-op has now closed!!

Great if you live in Milton Keynes. We went to Bletchley park a couple of months ago and it's a good day out. Very interesting, even if you've only a passing interest in codebreaking and cryptography.

Ok not huge savings but some nice ideas for us parents who are skint after summer hols!
I may take my kids to Lyme park free at weekend and possible down air raid shelter tunnels in Stockport. Also some museums on list.

Thanks for the tip!

It might be time to visit the home of the codebreakers!
