Four short Heart-warming Christmas stories - by author John Kendrick Bangs. Also includes a few Christmas poems by the author.The stories were published in 1912 but have a real Victorian/Dickensian Christmas feel about them.
The first is "The Conversion of Hetherington" - a story about a wealthy man who temporarily stands in for a poor man employed to be a Santa.
The second is "The Child Who Had Everything But" - about a man who is taken by a ghost to visit a sad little boy.
The third is "Santa Claus and Little Billee" - about a boy who gets lost and meets "Santa"
Finally there's "The House of the Seven Santas" - about a freezing child who is rescued by some benevolent men stranded at their Club during a snowstorm.
