Collect 1 Nectar point for every 2 searches you make (maximum of 50 Nectar points per month)
Nectar Search powered by Yahoo! is free, safe and easy to use
First of its kind in the UK - no other toolbar lets you collect loyalty points
Dont miss out! The toolbar lets you know if you can collect Nectar points at the shopping websites you visit

If you spotted £2.50 on the floor every 10 months, would you stop to pick it up?

Might not be much, but it is money for nothing. You are doing nothing that you arent already doing so the only time it takes is the 10 seconds to install it!

1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 nectar pts = 1p

I think the more useful part is the toolbar notifies you if you can collect Nectar points if you visit a shop that does give out.

I know you can use Quidco, but I wish quidco did a similar toolbar that reminded you of cashback when you visit a shopping site!

The points from the searches are not much and the nectar points notification is not revolutionary... but give some credit, its quite a good idea from Nectar, and is useful.

Anyone know what an 'invalid' search is?

Edit: just found out :)

Your search was deemed invalid and did not qualify for collecting a Nectar point

This could have been for the following reasons:

* You are running a search outside of the UK that is not eligible to collect Nectar points
* Your search query was not recognized as logical or yielded no actual results
* Your query originated from an automated process or macro

Need to give a few seconds between each search!

+1

Nectar already know what you're buying in all the shops you swipe your card in and now people are selling their searches for pennies!
Nectar points are worth so little I just don't bother with them. Don't you have to spend several hundred pounds just to get £2.50 off!? Or are my calculation incorrect..
#21
2 points is worth a penny. i collect nectar points but wont be going for this. as for their shops, its not worth it (apart from amazon) as you get better deal with topcashback/quidco 99% of the time
#22
I buy shopping from sainsburys, might as well get nectar points for it
#23
great deal! both rep + heat added!
#24
Its like the Mob Wars Godfather points on Facebook...free points for searches...

500 points = £2.50 off your shopping.
You get 2 points per £1.
So, you have to spend £250 to earn £2.50.

Or - 1 point per 2 searches = 1000 searches = £2.50.

I think it is something for nothing and don't mind using my card in store. I can see the issue with the toolbar, in a way, because it links what you search for with you other details. But, as I don't really search for anything I wouldn't mind people knowing, I am going to give this a go. For now at least. :)
