Hyde Park is gearing up for an amazing weekend of Triathlon when the world's best elite athletes roll into town and are joined by over 3,000 age groupers. The elite field features the top men and women from across the world and will see defending World Champion Alistair Brownlee, looking to repeat the victory he secured in 2009. The elite women's race starts at 13:00 Saturday 24 July with the elite men racing at 16:00 on Sunday 25 July. Click here for a look at the full weekend timetable. Come down and support the elites and age-groupers - entry to watch the event is free. If you cannot make it in person, make sure you tune into BBC Sport (Saturday 13:00 Red button) or on Sunday BBC 2 15:00 - 18:00.

I am a sports nut (participant and viewer) but i have to say I'm not convinced watching a triathlon would be really very interesting?

it can get a bit monotonous but If the weathers nice, I like taking photos so I'd combine the two for a good day out.
