Over 100 million people have avast protecting their computers, making avast one of the worlds leading and most trusted antivirus programs.

Well I use this Anti virus program and thought I should post it up here. I used to use AVG, Norton (cr4p) and Mcafee (also cr4p), This (Avast!) is far better than Norton and Mcafee and just beats AVG is my opinion. In general with Avast! running, the PC is able to run other programs the fastest compared to the other anti-virus programs.

It also updates daily with a voice telling you "virus data base has been updated". Its very good at protecting my laptop, every time I'm at risk of a Virus, Trojan, Malware or whatever it notifies me straight away and gives me the opt. to delete or stash it in a place so that the PC is not effected by it.

It is a trial (60-day) but its enough for me (I'm a PC gamer). When it expires all i do is re-install-and another 60-day.

If you buy it (or use serial key...) you get these extras- not that useful to me:

* avast! Sandbox - lets you safely browse suspicious websites or applications
* Silent Firewall - blocks hacker attacks to protect your identity
* Antispam - keeps your mailbox free from spam and scam messages

Yep the free version is just fine - who'd want to re-install every 60days?
Avast! nearly lost me with their bodged update a month or so back (reporting any and every application as a virus) - took me around 6 hours to recover my two computers :x - That said it's the only issue I've had in around five years...

Not voting as Avast! is great but the wording on this deal is pants :giggle:

do we really want to see the freebies section taken over with every piece of software that has a free trial?
