Is this just for business sellers do you know?
kiwi1983#6
I would have jumped at this but seeming as all my unsold listings were removed I would have to start from scratch!

I wish ebay had a facility to retain your listings somehow it would make things a lot easier. :(

Thanks, but still have started using classified in favour of ebay, 10% fee + PayPal fees just seems a bit too much!!

Note, this only works if you have over 4.75 out of 5 feedback for postal charges. I'm stuck at 4.6 and I've been offering free p&p and losing money! :-(

They stop you using the free insertion as you have poorish feedback on post?

I think so, I've tried free listings weekend before and was fine then I got marked down and it doesn't work for me now. It's in the small print...

Can't see how I can it higher though - especially as I'm losing money on some items now. Might just bite the bullet and list stuff when it's not free as the site is saturated with sellers now ;-)

Yup. I'm an occasional seller on ebay - just getting rid of the odd thing here or there so one unhappy customer who rated me a 1 for postage has screwed me up for several months and stopped me being able to take part in the free listing weekends. Pain in the booty.

Yup im not eligible either due to dispatch times.. #%&*

BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE OF EBAYS HIDDEN INTERNAL RULE!!! IF YOU OPEN TOO MANY CASES IN THE RESOLUTION CENTER YOU GET YOUR ACCOUNT BLOCKED FOR MISUSE OF THE BUYER PROTECTION PROGRAMME. EBAY CLEARLY BOASTS IN THERE ADVERTS THAT THEY WILL HELP YOU ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE PROCESS, BUT THEY DON'T, FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN BUYING AND SELLING ON EBAY FOR 3 YEARS WITH 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I OPENED 4 CASES AGAINST SELLERS IN A MONTH, 2 OF WHICH WAS OFF THE SAME SELLER AND ONE WHO WAS CLAIMING TO BE IN THE UK AND WAS IN CHINA, ALSO ONE WHO SOLD ME ITEMS SIGNIFICANTLY NOT AS DESCRIBED, THE ITEMS WERE MINGIN! EBAY TOLD ME TO OPEN A CASE AGAINST ALL OF THEM AND THEN BLOCKED MY ACCOUNT INDEFINATELTY. SO IF YOU BUY OR SELL ON EBAY AND GET RIPPED OFF YOU MIGHT ASWELL LOSE OUT OR LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTING THERE USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICES FOR NEARLY 3 MONTHS NOW, AND THEY STILL WON'T LET ME USE EBAY, WHAT A LOAD OF SH*T. SO I DON'T CARE IF THEY HAVE FREE LISTINGS ALL WEEKEND.

I've tried the customer servicees route and all I got was an automated email - you complain about something, with valid points, and it's just a computer generated response...
