The stunning Street of Light is back for Edinburgh's Christmas 2016 in a new location on the west end of George Street. The Street of Light opens on 20 November as part of Light Night, and then runs from 21 November - 24 December. With over 60,000 beautiful bulbs of light alongside synchronised music from local choirs and bands including the Edinburgh Festival Chorus, Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus, the hottest contemporary fiddle music from the Highlands and Islands, Blazin’ Fiddles, and Scotland’s very own bhangra group Tigerstyle.

George Street also plays host to the Scottish Market from 26 November until 24 December.

I didn't find out about it last year until quite late on. We went on the worst day rain and howling gales and had to go round by the Kincardine. So I m hoping I've picked a better date this time :)

Seems a lot smoother process to get tickets than the Glasgow one! Shambles every year.

Last year I booked tickets but when we got there they just let everyone in and were telling people they didn't need tickets. It wasn't overcrowded. It's quite a nice event so worth booking just in case your day is busier than ours.
