Today I ran out of data and my data does not renew for another week. I contacted EE online (log into your EE account and wait for the pop-up towards the left hand appear) and asked for some extra data, and was given 500gb. I am on a 2gb sim only plan, so if you do run out it's worth asking, as the charge for extra data is extremely expensive.

500MB, not 500GB. Just for those that can't be bothered to read further down! *We all make mistakes!* :)

Is there any pay as you go plans on EE, that let you pay as you go for data, i dont meant the bundles that you have to use in 30 days or loose it, i only use like 100mb a month.

The last time I looked their standard data charge was something ridiculous like 50p per MB.

Looks like they don't do that any more, only packs for new plans.

If you absolutely have to be on EE's network, and want to only pay per MB, you could try Asda Mobile, which is 5P per MB.

If it doesn't have to be with EE, Three's standard rate of 1p per MB would be better. They have a sim that gives you 200MB free every month, you just need to have one chargeable event every six months to keep the sim alive. Or you could try Freedompop for free data, calls and texts.

You may need to get the device unlocked, Best to contact Three when it's ran out :)

I thought that when your data runs out it just cuts off unless you order some more?

I'm pretty sure that's what happened with one of my lines

Thanks for informing about this, I did the same thing and they offered me 1GB till my next allowance, the staff member was extremely helpful. I don't know how to upload a pic to this or else I would put up the whole conversation, but below is part of the transcript I've copied and pasted.

Meenakshi: Let me check what best we can do.
Mark Masih: Thank you, I appreciate that
Meenakshi: No problem.
Meenakshi: Mark, I have convinced my supervisor to approve the 1gb free Uk data for you only and he agreed for that as you are our valuable customer.
Meenakshi: We are providing you this as goodwill gesture.
Mark Masih: Aww thank you so much, that is amazing!
Meenakshi: My only goal is to make you feel as a very happy and valued EE customer. And that's the reason I have taken this step after convincing my Supervisor.
Meenakshi: I hope this has made you happy and brought a smile on your face :)
Meenakshi: You're welcome, Mark.
