The passes are free. I met up with some friends there at the weekend, they downloaded four passes (two adults, two children) - they got no hard sell, just came in and enjoyed a day at the club.

Normally it costs £10 to invite an adult guest, £5 for a child. They used the Gym, played badminton, tennis and swam. For free.

Saved them £30.

Great deal.

Honestly, it is free.

I noticed on the Ts and Cs that it says over 18s. It works for under 18s as well.

In the URL it says free......

You only have to pay £10.00 if you go in & use the facilities before the Free Day is arranged. My Free Day was arranged immediately with a phone Call.

Hi I got this email this morning From madaboutbargains.co.uk

LastMinute.com have just sold out of spa days for just £10

BUT EVEN BETTER

You can get a FREE Spa Day at venues all across the UK and Ireland and all have Pools, Spas, Saunas, Steam Rooms, and Fitness Rooms and Excercise Classes. They all look absolutely fantastic.

Just sign up for a Free One Day Pass - Click Here at one of their 55 Esporta Health and Leisure Clubs and enjoy a whole day of pampering FREE!

Of course, they will be hoping you will join as a full time member but that is entirely up to you, isn't it?

It looks so good, Jackie and I are booking a day of pampering now and I will not be taking my laptop.

Best wishes

Jeanie

Hmmm, I'll wait and see...I would be suprised if they cahrge it's just it doesn't say free anywhere and it does say it will cost £10. Time will tell

Anyone know if this lets you use the golf course at Esporta Milngavie near Glasgow?

Just had my phone call. It is free but I had to ask if I could use the facilities as it was a ' I believe you want to come in for a chat about membership'. It had to be used next week and was not able to be flexible about it being 2 weeks later (can't do next week or the one after). I think I'll leave it as too much hassle

Just be careful if you decide to become a member.

You sign up to a 12-month contract, which, even when the 12 months is up, still requires you to give them 3 months notice of cancellation :(

Extremely expensive club (for my area - South West), and only really focus on getting more money out of you through PT sessions

Yes, agreed, they are a complete nightmare to end your contract, it's taken me a year to be rid of them! They immediately passed my details on to debt collectors, who were very aggressive and unpleasant. Be very careful if you sign up, and be prepared to be tied into your membership for at least 15 months.

I was paying peak membership at 70 quid a month. Saying that it's a nice club and if you don't get any hassle to join, you will enjoy your freebie day! Have fun! xx

i went for a visit for the children in the bristol branch to try the musical theatre lesson on sunday followed by a swim....we ended up having sunday lunch there which was terrible and bland...the potatoes were aunt bessies or similar and where left in the oven longer then they should have which left a burnt after taste, the gravy was thin and watery like a dressing...£7.95 a head buffet style (so no waiter and had to request them to wipe the table..reminded me of mcdonalds) was not cheap and cheerful....i fed this back to the manager who basically took a potato and came back saying he thought it was fine and so did his chef ....and that was that and then saw them refill with even more dark brown potatoes!!! the pool like what previous poster said was too cold for comfort and the spa pool was on but no bubbles. only thing good i can say was the staff who worked for the children were excellent and friendly as due to them telling me the the activities are free when i arrived it turned out not so and cost 4.40 and hour so she did not charge me. the membership guy just basically showed me the figures on a simple card and that was that...he does not mention 12 month contract or 3 month notice once...all he done was go out to sell but when i told him i was not making a decision yet due to a trial visit to david lloyd could tell he lost interest. he did not offer to tour building with me either...the next day i got a followup call from different guy...despite the food and cold pool i was 99% gonna go ahead due to the childrens activities they have but the last straw that put me off was the membership joining fee was quoted free to me when i was there but now i was told depend if the 'offer is still available' when asked when the promotion expired i was told 'i dont know' depends when you sign up!! the conversation was very patronizing and was not what i expect from some one trying to make a sale! it actually got me quite upset which cause me to ring head office to feed back my experience..despite speaking to them my impression was they really was not interested and stood by there collegues...the whole thing has left me wondering that they proberly take your money and there for locking you for the 12 months and anything your unhappy about will be tough after. so make sure you have all your facts before you join as lots of information i was given was false just to get you to sign ..so check and check again....its a shame but at least i still got my £912
