thanks for the info but wonder if it's vista comp as Zonelabs has messed about with ALL vista customers with their internet security suite. i have had 1 update this year!!!

as a result changed my firewall on my kids pc to Comoddo and will be moving over to kapersky full suite on my main pc

still downloaded this to see if it'll work on vista - remember to try using several emails accounts to get multiple licences. i know it's not very pc (no pun intended) but the way Zonelabs has messed me about I don't care! [pay for a subscription i expect constant updates - not 1 only!!!]

NOTE: XP users have had multiple updates of Zonelabs ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite!

Ta very much!

Wonder how long it will be before you get a mod telling you they dont allow downloads as freebies.
#9
Remember that the license is only for 1 year as OP stated - you'll have to pay after that.

history, cookies are only erased if you open a "Private Browser" session via the software. The default settings only monitor phishing sites etc.

didn't work on my vista business.locked up laptop and took me 3 hrs to get it working again:x
#15
works a treat on Vista Home Premium.

i think this is a good prodcut. it adds more protection then just your firewall and antivirus alone.

only problem is that

it has a huge privacy issue within itself

the program installs as a toolbar onto of internet explorer/firefox and has a site check status button

which shows if the site is safe

this is a good feature, but does this not mean ever single site you surf gets logged by zone alarm.

is there not some privacy issue here? im sure there is.

i know you can turn off this site safety checking feature within the options but still i have my doubts on privacy. any opinions?

The program is working just fine on my version of Windows Vista Business.

Thanks for the heads up. Saved myself £20. Great piece of software.

The servers could be in the US. It basically looks up where the servers are based and tells you that information. If you want further in fo then use http://searchdns.netcraft.com/
A very reliable site.

Folks, according to the ZoneAlarm website, this offer is only available until 6am PST (Pacific Standard Time), which I think works out at 2pm BST.

So, that's just an hour and a half left at time of posting to grab this freebie

Installed on XP, then uninstalled as it slowed down browsing.
#28
rubbish software. slows down browsing and takes over the download from the default Firefox downloader (so you cannot pause/start). what a piece of **@*
#29
Rubbish

installed it but kept locking up pc so got rid of it

this is still a beta version isnt it?
#30
I installed it and it worked great till i switched computer on this morning and it wouldnt let me open firefox and i couldnt watch a dvd either. Uninstalled it and i can now watch dvd with out the program crashing .
#31
this is one of the worst software I have ever seen. DON'T TOUCH IT.
#32
i uninstalled it too.....really slows down my browser
#33
After installing this, my PC kept freezing when I logged into windows. I'm pretty sure this is the culprit. Slows down browsing too, I'd stay well clear of this.
