A friends just sent me details of this offer as we are visiting London in a few weeks.

Thought I would share the wealth!

Details:

Open
10.00 - 17.45 daily
10.00 - 22.00 every Friday

Exhibition closes five minutes before Museum.
Last entry 17.05 (last ticket sold 17.00).
Late opening last entry 21.05 (last ticket sold 21.00).

Exhibition admission
Tickets to the exhibition are free.
Timed tickets are in operation.

There are two options for obtaining tickets:
1. In person at the V&A - either in advance or on the day. Free, there is no charge for pre-booking.
2. Advance online booking - up to four tickets per household can be booked online. Tickets can only be booked more than 48 hours prior to visit. There is a booking fee of £2 per transaction."

lol. £2 booking fee for free tickets! I wonder what they are going to think of next... VAT on free items too? :whistling:

I remember a debate about corkage in some posh restaurant - the group brought their own wine but were charged £5 corkage per bottle and then had VAT added on. When queried they were told that it was a service and so VAT had to be added.

If I were to pay £5 corkage, that would double the cost of my bottle of wine :oops::shock: :-D
