Seems to have a ton of IAP :|
and if you got free cinema tickets you would find the cinema has a lot of extras you can buy too... Drinks, popcorn, sweets, ice cream... All a lot more expensive than IAPs :)

Sometimes people confuse the IAPs with the cost of the game, everything in life has extras, but the game is free, and great game it is too, heat added :)

The difference between a game's IAP and as your example of the cinemas experience is that most games with IAP generally make it really hard to continue the game at anything actually playable without purchasing the IAP.
It'd be like going to the cinemas buying your ticket to watch a movie and then finding out that to continue watching the movie everytime you blinked your eyes you needed to either pause the film and wait an hour, or go back to the ticket desk and buy some in movie purchases that lets you continue watching without having to wait an hour every time you blinked.
Sure you could watch a movie without blinking, or you could wait the hour every time you blinked, but to really enjoy it you're going to have to buy some in movie purchases.

And that's why a lot of games with IAP are frowned up on, because while it seems like a great idea to offer the user a discounted game with some additional content as an in game purchase, a lot of rogue companies are exploiting it to force users to pay to play the game if they want to enjoy it. Some even go as far to make it impossible to play it, like EA's Dungeon Keeper.

Yes indeed.....can't remember the last time I had to buy popcorn in order to watch 100% of the film I had bought a ticket for.

Terrible analogy in defence of IAP (_;)
