Looks like its for US?

Makes no difference.

Had a similar offer for Mcafee last year, which many of my customers are still using today.

I think my current mcafee software is due for renewal in March 2010 - can I still download this and get the 12 months from today - or will that not work?
#7
Excellent ... perfect timing. My current license was expiring in a week's time.

Voted hot.

mcafee and nortons are viruses....well ok, resources hoggers.....i trialled norton 360 recently....absolutely terrible, just slowed my quick pc down...uninstalled it after 2 days and it failed to detect a virus and other malware, which Avast (which has always been free) did find
my last experience with mcafee was a few adn iyears ago, it slowed my pc down and they i uninstalled it and it trashed my windows (blue screen) and i had to reinstall windows.....when i did i told mcafee what i thought of their products...i know alot of people who have similar experiences, so install at your own peril!!

Awesome post dude. I used the one posted last year, so due to run out at the end of the month. Just downloaded this one & now good till Nov 2010, plus I can update the wifes & daughters too. Thanks again!!!!!

got mine thks:whistling:

But why go with McAfee? They suck so bad....
#18
Why go with Mcafee? It is well known and documented across the net that this product will slow your pc down and increase startup times and more worryingly allow viruses onto your PC

Why is a company that normally sells this product now giving 3 user copies away for free.
It is because sales are stopping due to the fact that everyone is becoming aware how resource hungry and how poor it is at finding viruess?

AVOID THIS PRODUCT

Totally agree. Don't know why anyone would want this on their PC.

While I do agree that McAfee is ****, offering AVG as a better alternative just prooves you like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

AVG is just as bad. What with the countless amount of false positives this software produces and bad heuristics, it's just plain bad.

A true user doesn't need to use an anti-virus. Those who do wish to use one would be better with the likes of Kaspersky, or to some extent Nod32. I'm sure there's offers around for these two if you look hard enough.

they only sold lots due to tie ups with companies....eg pcworld who would sell their rubbish at a 'discount' when someone bought a pc
