Why the cold temperature? Works for me, make sure you actually have interest in Moshi Monsters before voting.

Also make sure you enter the code on the http://www.moshimember.com and not the normal logon page.

My daughter love all things Moshi. However parents must be vigilant. They have a monster to care for and a room to decorate.....no problem there for me. However, there is also a pinboard in their rooms that the children can communicate with other moshi site users that they accept as 'friends'. The 'chat' on the pinboard is not restricted, so your child and others can potentially post anything they want to....addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses etc. The potential for inappropriate adults posing as 'children' and asking for this kind of personal information from young children who may not think twice about giving this info to their online 'friend' is very high risk. I've seen other Moshi members pinboards where information is freely being given about the childs real name, school they go to and answers to questions like 'where do you live?'! My daughter received some inappropriate e-mails that set my alarm bell ringing that she most definately was not communicating with another 7 year old child. Thankfully I saw the messages the exact day it was sent to my child and I pressed the 'report' button on the inappropriate messages so that the moshi team could look at the messages. That was about 2-3 weeks ago and I've had no feedback at all from them, not even to say they acknowledged that a 'report message' was sent to them....bitterly disappointed!!! :( :( My daughters accounts are via my e-mail address and I've had no messages, only the automated message 'Your monster is missing you' if you've not been online for a while!!!! Have banned both daughters from the site. Another parent in my daughters' class done the same also. Have in the past bought memberships for both of my children, but will not be doing this anymore. I don't even want a free membership. The Buildabear website is much better in my opinion as any communication between the users is via a restrictive text that can only be chosen from a predetermined list of words to say. There is not a way to put in or spell a number so limiting the risk of children giving personal info of phone numbers, addresses etc. Or there is a part of buildabear where there is no scope for chatting at all with the restrictive chat, so the children are free to play, explore etc giving parents some peace of mind. Only giving my experience of Moshi. Not good.Even for free. :( :( :(

Welcome to the unrestricted internet, if your kids are able to use Google this is the least of your worries.
I can't comment on how the back-end teams control or support issues but yes there is a message board anyone can post anything on. I guess its all part of the social network, many other gaming sites are similar or worse, for us we initially had worries but after my daughter understood never to give out personal details and ignore bad messages or rude comments etc, she actually became more vigilant and was quite a good lesson to learn with anything on the internet.

The code TICKET (when following the instructions) works and works well - heat added.
The internet is a virus ridden, pornographic heaven with millions of people pretending they are someone else. You need to monitor your children on everything they do - Moshi Monsters is no execption - it is no worse or better than anywhere else. Including some of teh bad language I see on sites like http://www.hotukdeals.com!!
I still come here and I will continue to monitor my kids internet access wherever they go.
