Free £30 energy monitor for Npower customers

Free £30 energy monitor for Npower customers. Npower is offering its customers on any tariff (except pre-pay) a free energy monitor when they sign up for paperless billing.

To get one simply go to http://www.npower.com/smartpower and select the paperless billing option in your account settings. It says even if you signed up for paperless billing a few weeks ago but have never requested a free energy monitor you can still get one. There are around 170,000 available until stocks last.

This includes those on internet tariffs eg, SignOnline provided you sign up for paperless billing.

Sorry...but I wouldn't touch NPower with a very large barge pole. I was with them a number of years ago and out of the blue they sent me a bill for £3500.00.....seems they'd made a mistake over the type of meter I was running and they'd miscalculated over a number of years.

When I phoned them I was swore at on a number of occasions by an ars*hole demanding 'their' money or else. A week later, I recieved a letter from them saying they'd made a mistake....so I took my business elsewhere. And it'll stay elsewhere for the duration...

we had similar thing with npower except they said we must have faulty appliances, switch to another provider and everything was fine, so much for faulty appliances!!

npower are a bunch of ...... fill in the blanks. Had nothing but bad experiences from them in the past. These electricity monitors are quite good though, and if you're with NPower might as well get one.

my mum sorts all the bills out, and she pays with a little card at the corner shop. So by her doing that she cant get one of these?. Even though she has been with them for as long as i can remember?!. Its just to get you to pay online using your bank account, maybe cheaper for them to send a email bill, then a paper bill!.

Thanks, just ordered. Comments on nPower as a company are a bit off topic but .... I've been with them for years and always had excellent experiences, helpful staff, good website, cheap tariffs.

You beat me to it! :)

Got one with Npower a few months ago... to be honest we don't use it anymore... as you have to have it plugged in hence its using electricity anyway!

Great hope i will get mine!..;)

I work for npower (dont shoot!) this is a limited offer and i think there are about 170,000 monitors. WE ran out last time. Regarding the bad experiences thats unfortunate, however if the complaints process doesnt resolve things just call on external help.
I have a monitor, havent used it yet. Get it for free while you can :)

Leaving aside the bad experiences, whenever I use an energy comparison site Npower always appear to be one of the most expensive, that's why i wouldn't use them. I'm with Scottish.

1.Sorry - your account details aren't currently available for paperless billing, this may be because you're a new customer. Don't worry, we'll email you as soon as your account details are available so that you can choose paperless billing and request a smartpower monitor. Subject to availability, T&C's apply.

lovely little get out clause at the end.
