Depends who's behind the counter and how happy she is with her mascara/hair extensions/etc.

This stuff is great!! I invested in a 130ml bottle which lasts me a year! X

It's the best foundation on the planet. Officially. Well, according to me anyway! I've got pretty ropey skin, but it looks perfect with this stuff on it.

I tend to buy a couple of bottles whenever it's 'gift time'. I then sell all the little bits and bobs on ebay, and usually end up making nearly what I paid for the foundation, so effectively I'm paying Rimmel prices for EL make up.

Good deal - I'll try and pick a couple up as they're great for travelling.

I prefer Lancome/YSL, but it's good to try a sample of this one for free :)

That's a good idea, I definately hadn't thought of doing that - I usually don't bother as half the stuff, I don't use. You should look into buying the large bottles like I do :0 it saves me approx £60 x

Where do you buy the big bottles from? To be honest, a couple of small bottles will easily see me through a year, as I don't wear make up every day or I end up with even worse skin! I did look at bigger bottles before on ebay but they were so much more expensive compared to getting them with the free gifts!

Try this... https://www.facebook.com/EsteeLauderUK/app_528798483801207

If that doesn't work, just search for Estee Lauder on Facebook, and once on their page click on the link for Double Wear make-up, and then the button for 'free foundation sample'.

Exactly, samples are plenty for special occasions, make-up is bad for your skin which is ironic as people use it to cover their bad skin. I'd say, keep the make-up samples and spend your money on a good moisturiser :)

From a salon wholesaler, I mix it with olay total effects radiance cream as I don't need much because my skin is quite good, so it lasts me a year of daily use :)

One of my best friends is a gay male and LOVES foundation, knows more than me about it. It's all about thinking outside the box I think they call it :)

I would agree actually, that's why I only collect samples and never buy it :)

Just got the samples..... hm not my thing, the stuff is SOOOO thick, it's like war paint. Thick war paint.
I couldn't even wash it off! I guess it's perfect for people with blemishes/spots as it will cover them, which is what some people want/need.

I'll stick to the Lancome foundations, much thinner and natural looking.

Thanks Dan for the post anyway, it's great to be able to try before buying :)

You can just ask, anytime, all year. It doesn't have to be because you have a voucher or anything. You just say you'd like to try a foundation x

As explained many times on this thread, you do NOT need a voucher. And I hope you like THICK foundation, my samples were like cement. But it does the trick if you need to cover up lots of blemishes :)

Anyone can go into store and asked to be matched up with a foundation and if possible receive a sample. The consultant should provide you with a consultation best for your needs etc. as somebody above said depends on who is on the counter and how happy with mascara hair etc and another snotty consultant!! How judgemental

I typed in all my info and it told me to check my email, nothing there. :( even looked in spam folder
