I was once a member of amazon prime so I could can next day delivery. Amazon then sent out the parcel with Yodel (thanks amazon) I got my parcel in the end three days later. The day after I ordered it Yodel sent me a text message to say they had tried to deliver it and no one was home. This was a complete lie! It had even phoned amazon around 30 mins before this failed delivery message to ask if the parcel was going to actually turn up as it was getting late. I told amazon that no one had even been to my property and they told me they are sorry but this is not a common occurrence! Hence why I would not join prime

There must be some really awful Yodel couriers around. The ones in my area always deliver next day and well before the day is out. Anyway I've had Amazon Prime for a good 7 months now and I've always had Amazon Logistics deliver my parcels other than two both which contained a magnetic whiteboard and had a magnetic warning sign on (must be that Amazon Logistics can't put these through the machines) they were delivered by City Link. Other than that as I said all Amazon Logistics. Maybe their isn't a carrier facility near you for Amazon Logistics, I'm not sure but just thought id share my experience of the delivery side of things. :)

Most things are sent via Amazons own courier now and has always been on time, Yodel sucked in my area too before 4-5 mo ago but new drivers came and it's been fine. Not amazon's fault, if you go on live chat to say you didn't get it next day you get +30days prime added on top.

This is for the movie streaming service, it's changed it's name from lovefilm...it's not the amazon prime service your referring to.

Nice. I assume it will be electronic delivery of the £5?

It is one of the amazon prime services the person is referring too....Amazon prime includes the film service, the delivery service and a few other bits and bobs.

Terrible selection of films but it's free money. Just remember to cancel.

Great thing with Amazon prime is the ability to go back in straight away and set the account to cancel.

Anyone found a tv show shorter than 9 mins?!
#10
Do you have to watch the whole show or just start it?
#11
A suggestion to poolman and Bure11.............set the tv prorgamme running and then go and do something else. Just saying.

Yodel have done that to me a few times and it's awful. Amazon always seem quite supportive when I complain though - the last time it happened I was given an extra month of prime for free!

A bit off topic but does anyone know whether you can watch Amazon Video on a Roku box?

That's what I'd do but I was just wondering if I actually needed to or not.

Can I set the account to cancel but then still use LoveFilm for the 30 days?

I've had a free trial with lovefilm a long time ago, does that mean I would be eligible for this?

I've decided to watch a whole episode of the epic adventures of...... Peppa Pig, to just be safe and make sure I do get the voucher.

For those who actually want to watch something and get a free £5 voucher, Extant seems alright. I've watched the first couple of episodes and so far it seems alright.

Great find. Thanks, OP!

At the end of your free trial, you authorise us to charge your card or another available card on file £79.00. If you cancel during your free trial period, by going to Manage Prime Membership in Your Account, your card won't be charged

Thanks OP. I've been meaning to take the trial to see what it's like, but just never got around to it. It would be rude not to do it now :)

has anyone got the £5 yet

I didn't receive any emails but I read somewhere if you spend £25 you will have £5 off so I put in my basket £25.49 and I can see "promotion applied" is £5 - plus free delivery! Yay

Be warned, you will be charged if you have had a free prime trial before

Darn you amazon, I just signed up for a 30 day trial 48 hours ago with no voucher to speak of...

Seriously? I didn't see that written anywhere, and if it's true, I am in trouble.

Very confusing because there is two plans. One is for 12 months and the other is a 30 day trial. Lady on Amazon I spoke to said you will only get the £5.00 voucher with the 12 month plan.
