It should say "Credit £5.00" at the top next to where it has your user name.

Ive only just done mine now and got it so the first 10,000 have not been claimed yet!!

Until 16/2/2010 MVCLOVE gives £6 off.

DIGITALSPY5 still gives £5 off, seems no expiry date yet for this one.

Remember that the Metro £5 credit expires in April so use it all sooner, rather than leave it too late.

Apply the code first, then buy with the credit for what remains.

p.s.

Although members have said they used DIGITALSPY5 OK, when I checked at 17:35, it said it was no longer valid!

I just registered and £5 showed straight away in my account!! Inglorious Basterds is downloading right now and I still have £1.01 in credit thanks to the code link supplied! Superb! Great find, thankyou!!!!

Hi

You can only watch it about once in 24 hours, and when downloaded cant save it to a disc....

i know its illegal but there is website where u can stream a film for free, and dont need to download it, u just click "play" and thats it.

However said sites won't pay you 50 pence quidco for the pleasure ;-)

BlinkBox as a company I'd never use, and I can't understand why anyone would 'buy' films where they can't burn to DVD or do as they wanted with it. However Blinkbox as a company that willingly pays me to watch a film for free with their own promotional codes I'm interested in, as I imagine are many others.

Not to mention most of their £11.99 'expensive films' can be bought from most online sites for around a fiver if you're that way inclined.

I can confirm that the digitalspy5 and mvclove no longer work.

I would sign up any way.

You could wait until near the April deadline and hope some more codes come out that can be used to reduce the more expensive films to within the £5 credit limit.

Alternatively sign up and use the £5 now to buy the cheaper films.

Especially if you use the FIFTYOFFER code first before paying for the rest from the £5 credit. One £9.99 film could then be bought.

quidco now 10p :(

Thanks - just signed up via the link and used the FIFTYOFFER code to watch The Invention of Lying for free! It's just been reduced to £9.99. I had planned to get this out of Blockbuster this evening so this has saved me a few quid.

As a tip to maximise the utility of this offer, here are some suggestions.

(As at 21/2/10 the fiftyoffer is dead, but the £5 credit is still valid. so is BLINK25, which gives 25% off, allowing £5-£6.99 to be bought, still)

Select the ALL MOVIES link at the bottom of the left menu list of movies.

Then select the £5-£6.99 filter link and the OWN filter link on the resultant left menu options.

If the film you buy is £5.99, use FIFTYOFFER to get it for £3. (The site rounds the price left UP).

Then while the film is downloading, look at the normal MOVIE menu again and look at the link that says "British Movies £3.99.

USE the FIFTYOFFER code again to halve the price to £2, and you have 2 films for £5 and no money left over, wasted.

Unlike the old codes that have now expired, this FIFTYOFFER code is not restricted to one use per account only, just one use per film.

(As at 21/2/10 the fiftyoffer is dead, but the £5 credit is still valid.)
#23
why is this expired

because you can still register and get the five pound free credit

and also i think FIFTYOFFER is expired i think
#24
I tested this and the £5 is still available, but the code/voucher "fiftyoffer" is now expired.

So, whichever bright spark(s) keep expiring the whole thing are doing the rest of the members a disservice, and I hope TCB apply some penalties for falsely expiring hot deals.

All you have to do is put a COMMENT in this thread to let others know the fiftyoffer code is no longer working, not expire the whole thing.

At least I have taken the trouble to find that BLINK25 is STILL VALID and gives 25% off, so that will help to get films in the £5-£6.99 range.
#25
To summarise my many observations.

BLINK25 gives 25% off, and can be used for each film bought. Said to expire 1/3/2010, but still working at 8/3/2010.

Fortunately someone has started a new thread so members can find this bargain still, which I tested yesterday and is still working, including the BLINK25 25% off code.

To repeat and edit the advice I have already given:

Select the ALL MOVIES link which is at the very bottom of the left menu list of movies (NOT the bottom of the page, you have gone too far if you end up there looking for it).

Then select the £5-£6.99 search filter link and the OWN filter link on the resultant left menu options.(unless you want to rent not buy of course, in which case select the correct option for that).

If the film you buy is £5.99, use BLINK25 to get it for £4.49.

This leaves you with 51 pence credit (the site rounds the price left UP).

Of course, if you select a £3.99 British Movie, and discount it 25% then you get left with £2 ,enough for 2 99pence rentals.

The possible permutations are not quite endless, but you see what I am getting at.

Updated - S1XTYnow no longer working.

Just been given a code by Blinkbox

S1XTY

"RIGHT NOW use the voucher code S1XTY and we’ll give you a jaw-dropping 60% off every single movie &TV show on blinkbox. This solid gold offer ends 25/03/2010 and is limited to two titles (don’t be greedy) per member."

DSPYFIVE still gets £5 off, and BLINK25 gives 25% off still (not the same time) so if you go through the METRO £5 credit link in this HUKD post, you can get a couple of films or one good one up to £10 .

To help, here is an ADVANCED search link to find all blinkbox deals.

It still works, DSPYFIVE coupled with the £5 Metro credit means you can get a film costing up to £10 still.

My son got one just now.

Why is this expired yet again?

Expiring working offers, especially ones as useful as this, does not do the members any favours.
#31
Unexpired.
#32
Now says Metro £5 offer expires 6 April.

Still works.

Still being expired by someone.

DSPYFIVE and EASTER1 work.

"20% OFF ALL MOVIES. Just use the code EASTER1 and all your dreams will come true. This sparkling offer ends 09/04/2010 and is limited to two titles only (don't be greedy) per member."
#33
The MEtro free £5 credit offer is now expired.

The discount codes still work as stated.

DSPYFIVE
EASTER1
