About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

As posted on the ebay facebook page, they have just released a code to use on any purchase from ebay. I just bought myself a iPhone case from ebay, used the code at the checkout and came up with no cost on my behalf!
The code you will want to use is CUKFB1 but all you have to do is follow the link from this post and will detail everything! There are only 50,000 vouchers and ends on 8th March so highly recommend to get off your butt and go!
Facebook page is here: facebook.com/eBa….uk

Edit: Yay! My first deal actually storms through the freebies charts! Thanks guys! Also, for all you fellow Arsenal fans out there, good game!

Edit edit: This deal does not end tonight, but instead the 8th of March, have just checked on ebay.co.uk's facebook page! I'm not sure if codes have expired, but have made the most of the opportunity and made multiple paypal accounts to get more!

If you think Paypal have took the money from you check your Paypal account and click 'details' on the transaction, should show the voucher deduction.

If your sister is struggling why don't you do the decent thing and go help her.

Go see her, go help her as you state she is struggling.

She will probably value that more than a £5 ebay discount.

Stop wasting your time on here and go see her and give her some money.

Why are you all moaning at each other? Just grow up ffs... I doubt PayPal are that much of a stupid company... they earn MILLIONS, they did this promotion for a reason, and I'm sure they saw people creating more than one account coming.

On a side note, I just got an email saying these bad boys have just been posted to me

    Wah Wah Wah Wah!

We think it was hardly impossible for you to use the code, we own our own data centres with tons and tons of spare computing power to ensure a stable eBay platform. This small traffic spike did not at any time slow or make eBay unavailable.

The fact is we are stupid, you can register a new PayPal account in 20 seconds, we don't even need a bank details or any credit card details.

We also allowed the code to work even before the terms and conditions stated!

So blame the system not the players.

    Kind regards, eBay.

PS. We don't ever read or respond to emails and our customer support is legendary for all the wrong reasons.

You greedy pigdogs. My grandfather missed out on this deal because he died in 1943 in the trenches and he had a bit of a wonkey eye and a dog that only had three legs. That fiver might have bought him the extra bullets that would have given him the opportunity to know me and tell me stories of how he fought bravely during the war. Now all I've got to remember him is his Iron Cross, SS dagger and the handle from the potato-masher grenade that went off prematurely in his hand.

    I love you, grandpa.

Look at the riots last year - nothing to do with the original cause, and everything to do with "I want free stuff".Any time an offer comes along like this - whether it's a voucher or a mis-price or a stupidly low priced item which could be sold on - you will always get people who won't be happy with just one and get a kick out of thinking they've "got one over" on a big company. Greed is always there, and it's especially going to be on a site which is dedicated to saving money in one way or another. You do have to be on your toes for deals like this and it's luck of the draw whether or not you get there in time. Sure, it doesn't help when people take more than their fair share, but apart from the minority of braggers who desperately need 13 SD cards, 32 iPhone covers and 18 laser pens (and sign up to forums like this just to brag about it, which is just weird), the majority of people are grateful for £5 off something they wanted. There's no point shouting at those who abuse offers like this, as they then get a kick out of 'cheating the system' and annoying other people, because upsetting others is all they have. Let them sit around as all their useless bits of plastic drop through the letterbox and then get put in a cupboard and forgotten about. The rest of us will just enjoy the one thing we got.

Put it this way, If someone was to throw 50 grand in fivers over the top floor of a busy shopping centre would you grab one and say thats enough or pick up as many as you can. Ebay knows people will make multiple accounts and argue on forums about it.

This is called publicity! I wonder how many people who missed this have downloaded the Ebay app now following them on facebook with a vow not to miss the next one.

    So it worked then.

Tempers are getting raised in the thread so let's all calm down please - msesaver001 posted this great free voucher link for the benefit of HUKD forum members and if it has been used multiple times by one member then it's up to ebay to enforce any breach of the voucher T&Cs if relevant. It was a great offer so lets keep comments courteous and those members considering posts that may incite a negative response please take time to consider their wording before hitting submit.

And big congrats on the 5966° deal temp msesaver001 and your well deserved hotspot badge

I really cannot believe my mince pies at all this whining and moral indignation.

This deal was posted all over the net like a cheap coat and was never going to last longer than a few hours anyway.

So what if a few people got more than you or you got nothing at all. It was only a fiver.

I got a cheap SD card and am happy and I certainly would not be tearing my hair out and banging on about the corrupt and immoral behaviour of others, should I have failed to take advantage of the deal.

I get the feeling that some posters are green with envy at not having the nous to rinse this themselves

You scooped up 40 of these?

You're such an idiot. That's 39 genuine people you've denied of this deal because you were hellbent on accumulating a disproportionate, selfish allocation. There's a reason why they say only 1 per person, it's to stop people like you abusing the system to the detrement of others.

Hmm, my 80 year old grandma suddenly decided she wants a paypal account. So did all my family, so I ended up with 5. Luckily, they all have their own CC's and bank details. Played it perfectly legal, any bile directed towards me?

Rather than turn on the members who used the code more than once, complain to Ebay about the code being released for the .co.uk site and ended up being valid for the .com and .de website. That's 7.86 USD and 5.77 EUR and thousands of people buying off the non-UK ebay websites from their respective countries which caused people like you to miss out. The 40 that some member used pales in comparison with the thousands used elsewhere, legally. Ebay screwed up, big time.

I didn't spot this so couldn't take advantage of it, in saying that I do think it might have helped sell my Blu Ray last night that was on a BIN, just wish I'd listed a few more items on BIN under the circumstances. If people phoned relatives, created new paypal accounts with different bank details I've got no issue with it. The only issue I have is if Ebay have allowed people to create accounts without new bank details, but that's Ebay's fault at the end of the day. Times are hard, people will take advantage of something like this. It's inevitable.
