Free 50GB Lifetime Cloud Storage at Box.net for some LG, Sony, HP & RIM customers
Hi all,
I know the 50GB Free box.net promotion just ended for Android users (and I just missed out myself :-/ ), but looking at the FAQ for this promotion I spotted it's still available for some. If you own any one of a number of devices from LG, Sony (or Sony Ericsson), RIM (Blackberry) or HP, the offer is still around. Taken from their site:
What 50GB promotions does Box currently have and when do they end?
> LG Android phones and tablets: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your device and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
> Sony Tablet S and Tablet P: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
> HP TouchPad: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for TouchPad on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
> RIM PlayBook: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for PlayBook on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
> Sony Ericsson Xperia phones: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your smartphone and log in to get your upgrade automatically.
Where it says 'log in', you still get the storage if you sign up as a new user.
Just wanted to post this as the offer still seems to apply for a lot of lucky folks out there, however some might not be aware.
A little added info:- box.net have individual file upload limits of 100MB. They do not have a desktop sync program (unless you're willing to pay to upgrade your account type), however you can find instructions to mount their free storage as a network drive to make it much easier to use. Google is your friend ;-)
