I've got two. Love them.

Just read the T&C, could not find anything about limited mileage... Could be fun to take it on a long test drive where all you need to pay for is the fuel.

Does this even qualify as a freebie ? The fact they state you must return the same amount of fuel as left in the car originally does mean that unless you just sit in the car at the garage for 24 hours, you need to pay for fuel.

Don't be so obtuse! Even if you rent a car, you'd be expected to top up the fuel in most cases.

seriously whats the point of the freebies forum if you got people saying this isn't a freebie on every thread?

If you need a car for a day to do a long journey this is perfect. Why put mileage on your own motor when you can borrow this for free.

Because my motor isn't a Micra :p

I also doubt this would work as I would want it to.
Could I ring the number in the link and:

Me: Hey, I want to go to the seaside next Saturday. I was thinking Brighton.
Them: Cool, sounds nice. Why don't you test drive one of our Micra's. Their nice cars.
Me: I've never thought of them as nice cars, darn it I'll give it a go.
Them: Well there will be a Micra waiting for you at Glasgow Nissan next Saturday at 8am with a full tank of fuel, just make sure you bring it back with a full tank as well.

I turn up on Saturday, keep the car for 24 hours - rack up a couple of thousand miles, and get sand all over it. As long is it goes back with a full tank of petrol, their happy.

I may also be moving flat soon, and this will be cheaper than hiring a van.
OK, I'll have to make a million trips - but it's not my car taking the wear and tear. :D

you wouldnt see me in one, noddy car comes to mind !!

Just pointing out that other 'freebies' have been removed for such things. I am sure some mod pointed out that all freebies must be completely free, upon collection of this you start paying for it when looking at it from a specific angle. Doubt its everyone's cup of tea.

Don't see why some folks are not classing this as a freebie, there are free teabags on offer today also, but you still need a kettle, cup, water rates etc in order to use them. If someone was giving away totally free cars (for life - I wish), would the same people say it was not a freebie?

Not bad this. Not for me but will be good for me dad for a day. All Micras have been well built, and have world class reliability. Not going to win any cool awards, but thats not their target audience. Micras have always been quality examples of fine British engineering.
#25
a days free care hire - hot from.

never owned a micra but they're fun to drive
Wonder if there's a Micra R....

Brilliant! And I hope in 20 years time when you've finally paid off your student loan you'll be willing to vote for a government that will raise taxes to subsidise students. If only we could find such a party...

Tried booking and all I got was a ONE HOUR SLOT. I thought it was a 24 hour test drive

Anyway of getting it for the whole day and not just an hour?
#28
give your local dealer a call - thet'll know about the promotion? so can't see it being an issue. . .

its says 24hour on their site anyhoo.
#29
When petrol starts reaching £2 a litre, these small cars will become more popular
#30
Good luck getting this. Once my local dealership finally called me, they offered me a 15 minute test drive on a second hand Nissan Micra and wanted £100 deposit... :{
#31
Hmm, not so sure this is all that great a freebie. :I

they aren't identical. One's blue the other is grey. So cheap to run & reliable I can afford to have two.
