Free public admission to Media Day
Rockingham has confirmed it will allow free public admission to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championships official Media Day when it stages the event on Tuesday 13 March.
Fans will be permitted into the Northamptonshire circuits huge grandstands from lunch time to watch the days traditional afternoon test session, when the BTCCs teams and drivers go up against one another for the first time this year.
Paddock access will also be granted to spectators during the afternoon, offering fans a first opportunity of 2007 to hunt out autographs and photographs of their favourite BTCC stars. In addition, Rockingham has confirmed its diner will be open at lunch time for fans.
However, on safety grounds, access to pit garages and the pit lane is strictly forbidden. All public must stick to designated areas.
Rockinghams director of sales and marketing Charlotte Bushby said: "We're delighted that Rockingham has been chosen to host the 2007 BTCC Media Day and it further underlines the circuit's popularity as a venue in this highly prestigious championship.
"The Media Day is an excellent opportunity for both teams and fans to prepare for the new season and we're very excited to be part of the build-up ahead of the big race on April 22."
Rockingham, in its unique oval setting just outside Corby, will host a BTCC race meeting for the first time since 2003 when it stages rounds four, five and six of Britains premier motor racing championship on 22 April.
