I had the Amstrad 464. I can still hear the tape screeching and the words "...loading failed" after 20 minutes of waiting eagerly lol

You are clearly the wrong generation to appreciate this.

By modern standards, yes it isnt very good.

However, for those of us who remember the computers of the 80s and 90s, this is amazing.

I bet you have never had any of the following computers.

zx81
zx spectrum
acorn atom
vic 20
TRS 80
bbc
apple II
PET
oric 1
comodore 64
Tandy colour computer
Dragon
atari 400/800
amstrad cpc464
atari st
amiga

For me, the Amiga was the best because it was my first computer with a disc drive. Good graphics and the game were a bit better than the atari ST.

Nice find. I just had a quick playthrough of Batman (got killed because of the poxy 'Sticky Keys' pop-up). For some reason, despite watching that film habitually as a child, the sight of Batman slowly morphing into The Joker really freaked me out in my younger days. Still not as distressing as The Joker they have now -- all Juggalo paint and Skrillex music videos.

Anyway, did I ever tell you about the time me and Reg made a raft and tried to sail down the Severn in his dad's rusted tub? It was a hazy summmer, the Spam shortage was in full-swing and I'd made a habit of collecting my shillings in an empty salad cream jar...

Amiga was my first computer, some of the best games I've ever played(yes the graphics suck compared to current games).
Still have it in the attic somewhere - got my favorite games with an emulator on pc some years ago.

Just a few of my fav games:
Hired guns
Monkey island
Rick Dangerous
Space Crusade
Supercars
Walker
+ the ones bass mentioned

I have spent many hours on allot of these games as a kid. Crazy to think that allot of these games were state of the art and cutting edge at the time of release and are now free in a browser.

Heat added and thank you. :)

All available on the Atari ST as well of course.

While it shared a lot with the Amiga, the ST had worse graphics and none of the custom hardware that made the Amiga rock.

Kick off was the best game ever.

While at university in the 80s, I shared a house with 4 other students.

We played this every day.

Most codemaster games were excellent but how about the very not suitable for young kids rock star ate my hamster I think it was called where you had to manage a rock band.

how about pinball dreams/fantasies/illousions, xenon 2, speedball 2, alien breed, project-x, stuntcar racer, Jimmy whites whirlwind snooker, apidya, body blows, turrican, lotus espirt turbo challenge, zool, lure of the temptress. To name but a few more! Along with classic shareware such as Jeff Minters llamatron and revenge of the mutant camels! Who can deny the fantastic Deluxe paint III and IV. The public domain demo scene was also great fun and then you had the trackers for music....as you can tell, I could go on and on. So I won't :D
Great machine, great times.
