Normally £3.50 per search from Glass's

Beware of putting too much faith in other free valuation services - the dealer will consult Glass's and other services may not give the same valuation - example, just traded in my 7 year old Merc CLK, Parkers valued it at £8960 but Glass's (and therefore the dealer offer) put it at £7350

The vehicles covered by the valuation service shall be car models introduced into the UK market during the last 9 years, excluding cars under six months old. Cars outside the age and mileage ranges, some specialist or limited edition vehicles, vehicles in short supply or rare vehicles will not have a value. :whistling:

That too as I always get them confused! Nice car > Kids > Nice car goes > people shuffler arrives. Now why cant someone design a nice 7 seater sports cabrioulet?
#16
this is good because its free but some things i tried seemed a little incorrect.
#17
Hey my Sorn'ed Clio is worth £495 - Thank you Glass - Xmas (Eid) come early!!
#18
Haven't used the link.................but I think most folk here are disappointed simply because of what they THINK their car is worth, or what they paid for it, rather than what it actually IS worth.

#19
Isn't Glass the one "the trade" use, that's why you get rubbish trade-in values and Parkers is the one us normal folk use, so we walk in with an inflated value of our car, only to be told it's not what they will offer.
#20
this only gives value for part exchange
#21
not a large loss for myself;

ONLY £2500 for a SEAT LEON 20v T CUPRA 2001 reg with 80,000 miles.

bought it for 5500 3 years ago.

1k per year depreciation.
#22
Depreciation of £1k from last year when I bought my 1999 diesel Focus. Back then, diesel looked like the way to go... Lots of Focuses around but then lots of people want them, so swings and roundabouts.
#23
Glasses is the guide that nearly all dealers use. The prices quoted are trade in prices. That may not be what the dealer will give you though because if thy know that they will not be able to easily sell it then they will offer you less.

yep this is trade, basically shows what u be offered if you trade in your car. for private sale usually add bout £500 onto
#25
£900 for my Saxo, Price only high because of the low mileage, Tried it with 100.000 and it said 505. lol
#26
Whatever the trade in price always ask for more :)
I love buying cars, you get to haggle so much. As much as you think you have a good deal though they have still obviously made money
#27
dont forget as were in the ';credit crunch' less ppl are buying cars there for deallers are tying to make money on part-ex's so expect well below the trade in price.

Didnt you read above?

Guess it depends on what car you have.. It valued my 99 civic coupe vti at only £1330. I know I can sell it all day long at double that. Cold for me!
#30
These guides are a sellers worst nightmare and a dealers best friend.
Valued my 2003 3 series BMW diesel at £5800.
Valued my wives mint 1999 56000 miles Golf tdi at £2200.
If only I could find cars at this price to sell on, I would be rich!!!!
Always makes me cringe when a dealer pulls out his "black book" to value a car, as if he does not know what they are worth in his show room. Dealers getting greedy in these tight times and thats why so many going under.
#31
Thanks for this,I'm looking for a new car at the moment and this is just what I wanted. :)
#32
sorry COLD this has been on "offer" like this for the past 3-4 YEARS...............................
