Hi All, sorry if this is a stupid qtn. I live in a flat on the 9th floor does anyone know if they can do wall cavities insulation in flats? I'm a British gas customer and I'm entitled to this but I have never applied becase I wasn't sure if it was possible.

If you follow the original link it lists all the requirements your house/flat should meet to qualify for free insulation, basically it says:
    1. Confirm your home is not a housing association property and that you're not a council tenant.
    2. Confirm your home has cavity walls. You can test by looking at the external pattern. A typical solid brick wall will use a combination of brick ends and lengths. A typical cavity wall will just use brick lengths.
    3. Confirm you don't already have cavity wall insulation. You can usually tell if your home already has cavity wall insulation if there are regular drill holes between the mortar on the external walls of your home.
    4. Confirm your home is not a flat or maisonette, or that the insulation is not for an extension only.
    5. Confirm your home is not timber or metal framed, pre-fabricated or made from natural stone or concrete.
    6. Confirm your home is damp free.
If you've confirmed the above, then please register your details to arrange your free survey for cavity wall insulation. If not, it is likely your property is not suitable for wall insulation.

Hope this is helpful and I don't think you should be EON customer to qualify for free insulation.

Not gonna risk damp and other problems to save a few quid.

You wont get damp unless there is a flow of water to be absorbed by the insulation
