Welcome to the Cinema Exhibitors' Association Card Website. This is a national card that can be used to verify that the holder is entitled to one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema.

To apply for the card, you will need to meet one or more of the following criteria:

a) Be in receipt of the disability living allowance or attendance allowance.
b) Be a registered blind person.
c) Be a holder of a disabled person's rail card.

The card is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Application forms are available from cinemas across the UK supporting this card. Alternatively, Download a form to print out and fill in.

A processing fee of five pounds is chargeable per card. This is to be sent along with the completed application.

There is a list of participating Cinemas on their website!

Please go away. :x

I would not wish a single day of some disabled person's life on another person.

unfortunately local cinema doesn't participate in this, but good find and heat added.

looks like a good job I missed this comment, I have to help look after my mother for the last 4 years after a major stroke, and there are 1000's of people like me who have put their life on hold to help look after a loved one, simple things like this just help out a litle.

Guess your the type of person who parks in the disabled space at the local supermarket and comments they pay taxes to help support us when we comment so"I can park where the hell i like".

And just for the record we get very little in the way of help as my mother has a good pension after working all her life and I work full time as well and as a 40% tax payer pay more than my fair share into the system .

RANT OVER:oops:

Our cinema in Richmond, North Yorkshire do this. I usually just give you a carer ticket if you're accompanied by a disabled person card or no. Ask and thou shalt recieve! :santa:

So just to get this right.

My mum is registered disabled. If she goes to a participating cinema with this card - both of us get in for free?

no your mum has to pay but as she needs a carer with her, you (the carer) get in free

I work in a cinema and it's a national responsibility for any cinema to do it.. we just charge for one and get the disabled or carer to sign a form when shown the CEA card.

It should work at any cinema if it doesnt' you should complain to the manager.

Just a note only the carer get's in free, so depending if the disabled person in question is a child/student or adult that will be the fee you will be charged. :)

Oh and if you do not have a printer usually cinema's have form's inside the cinema for people to send off and apply.

marvellous, I never knew about this but take my disabled Dad regularly to the cinema, he loves it!!noone has ever told us about a scheme like this!!so cheers. Also to the person with the negative attitude....I chose to give up my nursing career to look after my dad. It is very rewarding and both he and I have a lovely life. It has it;s moments like anything else but sure beats working in a job you hate every day!

thank's

I applied for a card 2 weeks ago and has just came through the post. I have a disabled child aged 10 who loves going to the movies. well worth the registration fee, will pay for itself after only one visit to the cinema.
