Just follow the steps and it works.

£30.90 to renew after the first year of free Bronze hosing free, so don't forget if you want to cancel or move, although they do give you an option for their Silver hosting package for £4.99 if you apply within 30 days.

I used Yola to design a website for a small business. It's a basic template but does most things you need it to. Impressive for free in the first year and definitely worth paying the subscription fee in the second year.

Hey, I've got my free domain (Thanks OP). Now it has my "billing address", my question is when the subscription reaches renewal how do they charge me? Surely they wont send a bill through the post?

I used this about 2 years ago...my web designer found it very restrictive for him to be able to design how he normally designs. We decided to move hosting to another company within 4 months.

So in effect, signed up, got the domanin .co.uk for free and then got it hosted by another company, with a hot chocolate fountain design template.

Footnote: We had a lot of trouble communicating with these guys in getting the appropriate details to allow us to transfer my site to the new hosting company, but at the end of the day....got it done!

    thanks a million!

thanks to your tip my website is up an running.

I was intending to do it for a while but I did not want to pay anything (and I wanted a proper web address) as I am not sure it will take off.

so this worked as a free treat :)

Amending DNS is a lot easier now, option is there in the control panel, takes seconds!

Okay for free but having played with this 'website builder' I decided not to touch it with a barge pole and I pay £9 per year (£3 co.uk and £6 housting) per website including domain name for something that is *much* more flexible.

Oh dear, don't pursue a career in web design. BTW tpb.pirateparty.org.uk is a far better proxy than the one on your site.

If you have to use a website builder you shouldn't be designing websites.

Bit harsh. Everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Like 'bilojb' said earlier, how do they charge us for the second year? They didn't take any details :/

Putting a tiled image of ganja leaves and a page full of text that you have copy pasted from other websites isn't a good place to start, especially not when that information is being copy pasted from somewhere as useless as PC world -,-

If people seriously want to get into web design there are hundreds of places online with information and tutorials that would help you make a better site in 5 minutes, not to mention college web designers will do it for free just to have something for their portfolio if you really don't have the time to learn or the money to pay professionals. I made better websites than that in high school with dreamweaver ffs

this is probably one of the best free sites out there http://www.w3schools.com/ with stuff for beginners and advanced people. I've learnt a few tricks from that site for my latest project.
