I order things online every single day. I've never once had to give my bank account details to do so - what's your point?

I'm asking a genuine question, all I'm getting is smartass replies lol

said it's free but what is the MSE (callcredit charging £12) about? if i can view the report does that mean i've 'ordered' it therefore i will be charged £12?

    so what's the 'free' then?

ooh interestingly on their website ...
"‘Free’ credit reports hit consumers with £22 million bill"

    https://www.noddle.co.uk/credit-check-industry-news-press-contacts/free-credit-reports-hit-consumers-with-22-million-bill

"The online study was commissioned by credit reference agency Callcredit to mark the launch of a new service, Noddle, which plans to give over 40 million Britons free access to their full monthly credit report for life."

    -------
    me:
huh? but the previous article - the same credit agency callcredit (who charged £12 to the guy in the MSE story) also set up noodle. double huh?
    kippy
well regardless. i'm on 5/5 and green. and i dont even own property.
    Lakeside
    That's why!
    kippy
haha. i suppose. but i do clear all my credit cards.

far too much personal financial details available, and if it's harvesting info (see promos) i do wonder if it is secure enough. however have signed up earlier so only time can tell. but i know for eg. when applying for company bank account, Barclays offered a service for their account holders (companies) to do credit check on potential clients. i was like, whoa…
