Some of Britains best known racecourses have teamed up to create the first ever week when the public can race for free every day.

This ground breaking initiative in April 2010 is being organised by Racing for Change as part of a wider campaign to broaden the appeal of the sport.

Nine racecourses, over a period of six days between Monday 26 April and Saturday 1 May, will open their gates and welcome visitors free of charge so they can experience the thrill of a day at the races.

Monday 26 April - Towcester and Wolverhampton
Tuesday 27 April - Sedgefield (evening) and Nottingham (evening)
Wednesday 28 April - Kempton Park (evening) and Ascot
Thursday 29 April - Huntingdon (evening)
Friday 30 April Doncaster
Saturday 1 May Goodwood

Wear what you want within reason.

Jeans and a t-shirt would be fine, some people dress up depending on the occasion e.g Gold cup or Grand National.
Great find. Racing needs more initiatives like this to give it a shot in the arm.
Great deal.
Great deal i'm off to Nottingham
Heat and rep'd.

Got some for Doncaster and it states you can print the voucher as many times as you want and give to family and friends
Great find i'm of to Wolverhampton
If you go, spare a thought for the horses...from what I read, most lead very traumatic lives with a cruel training regime and many do not live very long lives.
Also spare a thought for the punters who had a shocking Cheltenham Festival - not one winner for me!?!?!

I just hope for better luck at Aintree over the next few days
Vinnynice, you're right, of course. I empathise with your loss...
Does anyone have a single spare or a couple spare tickets for goodwood?
