We used to be members of NT but have had to give it up this year due to finances. It is a charity and unfortunately it's run like one too! We always 'renewed' our membership online. There's no facility to do that but simply cancelling your old membership and then taking out a new one online is so much cheaper and you can get a deal were they give you a free set of binoculars. Every single year we used to get the renewal through the door and every single year we rang up to ask why it was cheaper to purchase a membership online and every year the same answer...

"that's just how it works sir".
"So can you not give me the same deal over the phone?" I asked.
"No sorry we can't do that". They reply.
"But I'll simply cancel my membership with you now and then take out a new membership online. That's going to cost the NT even more in administration fees than it needs to! Where's the sense in that?" I would ask.
"Sorry, we can't do anything about that!"

CLUELESS! So that's why, every single year, we'd cancel our membership and then renew online. The NT is a charity, a charity we have spent a considerable amount of money with over the years in membership fees and even more in purchases from the sites, but it is managed very poorly. Which, given the salaries of some senior execs within the NT, really is unforgivable.

    failing that
    National trust home page
put Civic Voice in the search

Right I don't actually know what Civic voice is but it says if you are a member of the National Trust already you can give this voucher to a family member or friend. I guess you, me and everyone surely must be a friend of someone in the civic voice!!!( what ever it is)

Says on main national trust site it can be given to friend or family if already a member, so assume no need to show any proof of being civic voice member!

Do the search yourself - at least the OP took the trouble to make the voucher available to forum members.

Interestingly it says no photocopies, but my printer only prints in black and white - which can look like a photocopy. How do they expect to see an absolutely accurate copy of this 'pass'? I really don't want to end up in an embarrassing situation in front of a queue of National Trust enthusiasts.
    kkaren
Should be fine I used a black and white copy myself, I think it is a standard thing with vouchers they all say it.
    simo2445
could you not keep using the same voucher or do they note down your name on the system or something?

Assuming you can print out multiples to get the lot of you in for free, One voucher per member of the family?
    pagdodd
does anyone know if more than one can be used at once?

Goodness! Do you realise the National Trust is a charity?! Enjoy the free admission, but don't abuse it.

Wel the two I know of near me in Cambridge are Wimpole Farm and Anglesey Abbey and they are not on the exception list. There are a lot of destinations not on that list. Rather than knock the OP do a bit of research yourself or move along.

Thanks op going to be a nice weekend I see and I my own my own with the kids this will save a mundane day in the garden........
