Typically, after submitting this, I found the old original thread here :

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/180383/nine-inch-nails-the-slip-free-album/

But ... the album is still free to download and new members of Hotukdeals.com might have missed it the first time round :)

Not one of their best albums and a bit hardcore for some people but for the NIN fans its not too bad an album :)

quite possibly one of the most forward thinking artists out there. for the creative amongst you Trent also offers many of his songs as the original separate tracks giving anyone the chance to re-mix, hack, chop the songs around...

I've liked NIN since the early 90's.

Some cracking tunes from the mastermind that is Trent Reznor

NIN have also just released a few torrents of live show footage - 400GB of HD video.

For the record all of the recent NIN albums have been released under the Creative Commons licence which means they are free to , download, copy and distribute, so even the albums where he charges you an amount for them on his website (Ghosts II-IV) you can legally download them for free else where.

Indeed but paying my $5 towards the Ghosts album made me feel like I was supporting the group/site.

I have absolutley no problem paying for my music but I do object to paying massively over inflated prices for albums with the majority of the profit going to the record company rather than the artist.

Normally I would agree with you wholeheartedly, but its not like Trent Reznor isn't already a multimillionaire. In fact, he made several million dollars from the Ghost album alone. You are better off downloading it for free and giving that $5 to the Creative Commons, that way you are supporting countless musical acts not just one millionaire.
