this all looks fine to me just applied for my soon to be 17yr old son.
what does everyone else think?
I will update when I get a phone call from them.
We have teamed-up with fully qualified Approved Driving Instructors throughout the UK to offer you a FREE one-hour, no obligation driving lesson. It's completely FREE, with "no strings attached" and is a great way of meeting up with a local instructor.
What's more, if you want to continue training with your instructor after the FREE lesson, you can get up to 15 per cent discount off future lessons when making a block booking.
Everyone is welcome to apply for a FREE driving lesson with a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor, but as with all things in life, there are some terms and conditions involved - so please read the below very carefully before applying.
We have arranged for you to have a FREE one-hour driving lesson with one of our fully qualified Approved Driving Instructors, but to be eligible you must comply and agree with ALL the following:
You must have a current provisional driving licence or intend getting one within 6 months of the date of your application. You can therefore apply for a FREE one-hour driving lesson if you are 16 and a half (or older) as of today's date (but bear in mind that however early you apply, the FREE driving lesson will not take place until you are aged 17 or older). Please note that if you are receiving Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate, you may apply for this offer within three months of your 16th birthday (providing you comply with all other terms and conditions).
You MUST NOT have participated in this FREE driving lesson promotion before.
You MUST NOT be currently under instruction with an Approved Driving Instructor i.e. you are a brand new learner and have NOT had any professional instruction to date, or you have received professional instruction before, but you are NOT currently under instruction with an Approved Driving Instructor (if you have recently failed a driving test and want to change your previous instructor, or simply want to change your previous instructor for other reasons on a permanent basis, then this is acceptable and you may apply). The point is that it is a complete waste of time to have a one-hour lesson with a new instructor in a different car and then go straight back to your previous instructor. Different teaching methods and unfamiliar car controls etc will work against your progress in learning to drive, and may even confuse you and set your training back. So please only apply if you are a brand new learner or you are not currently undertaking professional instruction (learning with friends/family does not count and you may apply - as the whole point of our campaign is to get everyone receiving professional instruction with fully qualified instructors).
Please note that not all instructors are fully qualified (some are trainees) whereas we only use fully qualified instructors. You can tell the difference between the two types of instructors by the fact that fully qualified instructors have a hexagonal shaped green badge clearly displayed on the windscreen, whereas trainees have a triangular pink licence on the windscreen (see images on the right). As a point of interest, several of the big national schools and a lot of other schools use trainees. Do you want to be trained by a trainee - we think not!? Make sure you check this out for yourself when you first meet your instructor.
If you comply and agree with ALL the above, then 'welcome aboard'. Please now go to the "What happens next?" page to continue with your application for a FREE one-hour driving lesson and up to 15 per cent off future lessons for a block booking.
