Any strings attached? I just had my first driving lesson today with someone who is fab but I was scared! I don't mind extra practise for free.

doesn't say so - but its a free phone number - so you could ring and ask - if they try and get you to sign for more lessons at the end of the lesson just say someone bought you a block of lessons upfront from somewhere else ?

(_;) cant see antyhing on website - any signing up conditions

I rang and it is a completely free lesson. Asked for a female instructor but a little worried as their cars are probably easer to drive than the one I am taking with my instructor (I don't think it has power steering whereas AA do) lol.

ive just booked with the AA 10 lessons for £178 you have to pay in advance to get this price but if for any reason you are not happy you can ge a refund minus the cost of the lessons you have had.

They also do a one time offer of 5 lessons for £82.50 or first 2 lessons at £10.50

You can also get £11 quidco if you book online but not sure if you can take advantage of offers online or if its just via call centre

If your a new customer, make sure that you say you dont have a test up coming. They were gonna charge me for 5 lessons and give me 2 free. I'm happy with my current instructors! Voted hot though :)

Can you book the free lesson for around June?
#10
Free lessons are usually for those that are new to driving. If you had many lessons already don't tell them that.

Will book 1 for my son

I've never sat behind the wheel of a car. Can I get a free lesson just by calling?
#17
Rang up, booked it for this wednesday, didn't mention im not new to driving, but any experience is good. I will let you guys know how it goes.

(I will be using a technique)

Of saying i have had over 10 hours but had a big break (5 months)
this should get me behind the wheel instead of the instructor taking me off road for some useless lessons :D

I had my free lesson today.

I have had 2 lessons with my normal instructor on Thursday and Friday so this was my 3rd my third but with the AA.

I have to say I learnt a lot. I wouldn't put it down to it being because of the AA but because her explaining was to a good standard (she even said don't think all AA instructors are like that).

I was feeling frustrated with the pedals (as I'm the type of learner who needs to know why you do every thing you do) and she let me get used to all the pedals, know how my feet should be positioned and when to press on each etc.). Driving was much better today.

Now that I feel comfortable with that, I'll probably go with my normal instructor with my now explained pedal techniques because I've piad for 10 lessons and had 2 so far. I don't want to stop going with her as all the people I know have passed first time with her, but I wll see after a few lessons if I feel comfortable with her or go with the AA instructor.

Btw I didn't buy the daily mail, I only quoted the free offer and didn't have to pay for any lessons.

Just finished my free lesson. At first the instructor was treating me like I was a new person, this is not to get you to sign up for more, they just do not get told about what kind of lesson it is. So i explained to him that it was a free one off lesson and he was superb about it, and helped me with any problems I had, he was also very wise and I have learnt alot from that lesson. Well worth to take if your a learner.
