this does nothing that just turning the tap down wont do. mine went straight in the bin as pretty useless (imho).

but its free and it does what it says in that it prevents when fitted excessive use of water so when fitted will reduce the flow which is what its meant to do.:)

They also have other uses too.
I have a downstairs shower, Cold water is plugged up to the mains, while Hot water is coming from the tank in the attic 2 floors up. The water pressure of the Cold water is too over powering for it to get a feasible water-temperatures with a mixer tap.
Something like this will help fix that problem. I'm actually waiting for one of these to come through from last time something similar to this was posted (I think that one has expired now though).

Voted hot.

maybe free as an individual but I think they are paid for by the government (so not quite free at the end of the day).

Then look at it as a small tax rebate :D

no they dont, its the age old story of this site if you dont like a post just **** it off.

if you go in a shop and see a cheap price but its nothing you want to buy you dont go to the manager and have a go at him you just walk past it

so why some people feel the urge to post comments on something they dont want or have an intrest on is behond me to

Does anyone have one of these in place at the moment?
Are they any good?
It says these aren't suitable for electric showers. I think if I put one of these in my shower, the water would just dribble out and render the shower useless. Unless anyone can tell me differently.

it does exactly what you stated. Unless your pressure is really high, then this is just a waste of taxpayers money.

Can't say about this one, but a previous offer you got a nice 'plastic bag' and to determine whether you needed to fit the appliace, you ran the shower head into the bag for.. I think a 30 seconds or a minute, can't remember. The level on the back was just over a quarter. I'm in a low pressure area and the water level barely reached the mark, never bothered fitting it.
