Great. One application for my house at home and one for my home at work.

You can get this type of bulb free from loads of places. Age Concern and the like practically throw them at you. You don't even need a real old person with you.

My entire house is fitted with them. They aren't as bright as normal bulbs but I don't mind that to be honest.

I got 4 energy saving bulbs sent for free from Scottish Power. :D

Looks like they are slowly arriving :)

Although this one isn't very bright to start off with (equivilent to 50W)

Edit: Actually I don't think any of these actually truely dim - they are just switchable from full power to part power :(

http://www.megamanuk.com/products/pdfs/dors-series.pdf

Here's another one that just switches from 23W to 8 W

Good one...

In September whilst on holiday Powergen were giving out FOUR free bulbs which of course I grabbed - lol
#26
Thanks for that one, these are always useful :)
#27
Anyone received theirs yet? I requested mine when it was first posted (over a month ago) and nothing so far here.

Would come in handy with the nights now growing longer :)

You don't think they've ignored applications from outside Scotland do you? There was nothing I could see saying it was limited to applications from Scotland.
