This was posted last year but is well worth a re-post as that post is 7 months old and the offer is still working.

Ordered some a couple of weeks ago and turned up today, although they say upto 28 days for delivery.

USE CODE EF3 and complete a few simple questions,
Where it asks for benefit reference number just enter your Ni number, and no you dont need to be a british gas customer(i'm not)

For NI number (reference thing) just enter N being number L being letter NN NN NN NN L and numbers and letter and it'll work

And I am assuming that the Real Time Electricity Monitor is one of these perhaps...

http://www.britishgas.co.uk/images/greenshop/newcontent/Owl_monitor_1.jpg

if so then they are £31.49

All in all (if these are indeed the products you get) the whole lots worth £51.48 :w00t:

Thanks for that, had to move my ol' Mum in for a bit ;-) and be a bit inventive with the phone number - flipping persistent aren't they?

At least I AM a BG customer - twice over - which should count for something, surely? :)

Couldn't get the energy monitor to pair with the sensing device and also don't see the point in the standby saver - just turn the extention lead off at the plug!
#19
Worked for me with a made up benefit number, thanks!

Or I could lie about it!!:whistling:

exactly! As you say, its unfair that these are restricted to people on benefits anyway as the taxpayer is paying the energy bills too! :-D
