Just turn up on the day!

Tranmere are offering free admission for their rearranged fixture against Notts County at Prenton Park on Tuesday April 19.

The original match was abandoned on February 5 due to a waterlogged pitch with the visitors leading 1-0.

With both sides currently struggling in the league and the game coming so close to the end of the season, there is a fair chance that fans could be treated to a scintillating relegation six-pointer - though should the form of Rovers and County improve, it could prove to be a largely meaningless mid-table clash

"When the game was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch we decided to take the opportunity to offer free admission to all supporters," said Rovers chief executive Mick Horton.

"This will give Merseyside football fans - and non-football fans - the chance to come and watch a game for nothing. It's the ideal opportunity for people who have never been to a game before to come and see if they like it.

"Hopefully they'll enjoy the experience they get at Tranmere and come back. Where else can you watch a Football League match for free?"

IMPORTANT: Don't be fooled by the "just turn up on the day" bit. This is an all-ticket game and you can't pay cash on the turnstiles. Get there early because there's gonna be a massive queue at the ticket office (it's free before 3pm, I think?).

Tickets go "on sale" at the ground from 9th March, although you can buy them now online at the club website for £1 booking fee/postage :-)

i booked 3 tickets online for me and my 2 mates £3 because of postage and booking fee but even a football match for £1 is a deal!

Pretty sure I read on Notts Countys Facebook page that Notts have only been allocated 1000 tickets so away fans should get in there quick... Of course high demand may result in more being allocated

The away end holds 2,200, so there is always more if you want them.
