Due to a giant cloud of ash from the volcano eruption in Iceland officials in Europe have grounded all non-emergency flights, stranding hundreds of tourists in central Florida.

With so many European tourists hanging around with nothing to do, one central Florida theme park operator has stepped up to give the stranded tourists something to do.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is offering a free one-day ticket to any tourist from the United Kingdom, Ireland or the European continent. The tourists need to provide a return airline ticket dated April 14 to April 21 in order to prove they are unable to return home.

The offer is valid at SeaWorld or Aquatica in Orlando or Busch Gardens in Tampa.

Good offer - although most of the people who can use this will have already visited and probably won't be checking this site!

It always makes me smile when i see people saying stuff like "poor people stuck out for an extra week or two holiday in the sun cos they cant get back, while we 'lucky' people are able to go to work every day in the freezing cold over here while they suffer out on there unfortunate extended holiday sun retreat"

haha.....i bet MOST people stuck on holiday are absolutely LOVING it.....and so would i be - id be absolutely extatic.

With so many European tourists hanging around with nothing to do

If someones got an extra few days in the beautiful area of Orlando (with all its MANY attractions) and they are struggling for something to do then im sorry, they dont deserve to be there!!

...and probably laughing all the way to Disney Land at the thought of an EXTRA holiday on top of the one theyve already had...part of it paid for by the insurance company....poor things

Busch Gardens is a great operator. They also offer free entry once a year every year for all military families (including UK military) on production of military ID. Graet day out in any of their parks too.

+1 If i was in florida I would be over the moon. $20 a night for a decent motel, you get another week in florida for under a £100 pound.

Hi
I'm stuck in Orlando, and have taken the little ones to Disney enough times over the last two weeks, and haven't done SeaWorld or Busch yet so will be doing that.
Went to Disney to ask if we could add a few additional days to our 10 day ticket (which won't normally cost more than five dollars extra per day after you've purchased a 4 day ticket) and said no, and invited me to purchase a full cost one again or a season ticket! I told Mickey what he could do with that!!!! Especially after we've spent so much time there.

So fantastic deal, thanks a lot.

People have been fantastic out here, National/Alamo let us to continue to rent our 8 seater at the economy rates, and aren't charging us for additional drivers and both the car seats.

From the saddo that still logs into Hotukdeals from abroad!

I think these gestures are lovely.

It seems that the National Trust here in the UK have now responded with their own offer:

Maybe this will spiral out of control and we'll all end up giving each other everything for free! Woohoo!

Sorry to be cynical but aren't they just trying to cash in on the extra visitors really? They are giving free entry in the hope that people will spend money on food etc once in there instead of spending it with their competitors. Still good for the people being able to do something free though. Voted hot btw!

By that logic they wouldn't ever charge for entry.

They probably realise that even if people can afford the holiday they haven't got unlimited funds to spend even if they get an unexpected extra few days.

I bet there was a large element of publicity seeking at the same time too, however make the most of it if it also works in your favour.

True, but if you have any sense you stop at k-mart and stock up on supplies, before entering, or leave the park and go to KFC (etc) and then go back. Simples :p
