Which, I did - But Tesco did my brothers eye test - and found out he had glaucoma, so are you saying Tesco weren't being professional then?

I must admit, i've had eye tests at all these so called 'professional' places including D&A but Tesco was by far much more thorough!

A Tesco optician will have the same qualifications as a D&A optician, but i much prefer Tesco Opticians eye test procedure - lasts about 15 minutes, compared to the 5 minute jobs i've received elsewhere.

(My Auntie's prescription was also completely wrong when she got it from D&A, but because she'd given it to Specsavers and they'd just copied the prescription, D&A refused responsibility because she didn't purchase the glasses from them... After many arguments, she was reimbursed the cost of the glasses. That was D&A Enfield, so beware!)

I left D&A and went to Specsavers a few years ago due to bad service. I used to get monthly contact lenses from D&A and the first time the assistant was showing me how to put them in she cut her finger on the foil seal yet amazingly carried on with the tutorial with blood dripping!

D&A also treat their contact lens wearers as second class customers. They will only allocate appointments either first thing in the morning after opening or last thing at night before closing (ie. 9am or 5pm) for contact lens check ups. They threat you like this because they've already had your money. The rest of the day is reserved for normal eye test appointments where the customers pay up front.

I changed my monthly lenses to the new kind which you can sleep in about two years ago. Had my fitting for them at D&A but they wanted an astronomical £25 a month so I took my prescription next door to Specsavers where the exact same lenses cost a mere £15pm and check ups are offered ANY time of day.

The look on the assistants face at D&A when I asked for my prescription was priceless!

Did you guys know that you can see better than 20/20 vision. To do a good sight test and heath check you need 25min. I can get 9 out of 10 people to see better than 20/20 just need more time oO
